Flaming newbie in need of battery help

Good morning everyone, is anyone able to help me with this issue please, I appologise in advance if I have posted in the incorrect loction, I'm still finding my way around.
My question is battery related,I have a variable voltage device, it can be adjusted between 3 to 6 volts. I only received one battery with it, a samsung icr18650-26f 3.7v 2600mAh
It's a bit of a struggle with only one battery, getting it charged in time before I need to leave for work so without thinking too much about it I ordered a two battery pack. Typical me, I only read the bit about 18650 (assuming this is the size/model of the battery) I didn't really look at anything else. I have just noticed that I've ordered a samsung 18650 2800mAh but it's rated at 4.3v !
Will these batteries work in my device or will I end up frying something? I've just noticed too that my charger can switch between 3 to 3.6v, does this mean that the charger won't even charge the batteries? Hi Rich - welcome. In short - don't use that battery. It is the wrong chemistry for your vv mod, and the wrong voltage for your charger.
You need 18650 IMR batteries - AW IMR, Efest IMR or Panasonic CGR18650CH are all good.

Ok - heres a link to the best batteries, at Cloud Nine Vaping in the UK. These are IMR - a safer chemistry and designed for high drain:

Those are the ones most recommended by ECF. I use them myself. I'd suggest you get a couple.

You're welcome. If I were you'd put the ICR aside once you have a couple of IMRs - ICRs aren't the best for vv mods either. They may work, but not as safe.

I do know that the Panasonic CGR18650CH are very good. They are not technically IMR, but you'll see them listed on sites as IMR because they are similar - a safer chemistry hybrid, and designed for high drain. I have looked at different test results/reviews and they perform well. They'd be fine in mech mods. A lot of vapers use them with mods because of the safer chemistry, high drain capacity, and good performance.

Try using this as well as what Kiwiwap recommended. I have both of these since I first started vaping and they are the best.
