Flammable concentrates help!!

Hey guys,

I'm at the end of my tether on how to get Concentrates into NZ from Bullcity. I order quite a bit and as of lately they are pinging me for more and more. I send to a NZPost depot (the postal service here in NZ) based in the states and then pay them to ship to me. Problem is they are not letting some concentrates on the plane (latest one was 120ml Key Lime)

What I was asking/wanting to know is, has anyone had the same problem? Is it as simple as changing my freight forwarding company or are these concentrates just not allowed on a plane full stop?

I have tried my best to look at MSDS sheets before ordering but I don't really have a clue what im looking for, I just look for a category eother 3 or 4 which the key lime was and stay clear of those ones. It obviously has not worked though as i've got one stuck over there at the moment and just waiting to hear back what is not allowed..

Would love to hear some experience on this, there must be a way as other people are doing it!

If it's getting restricted due to size, you might be able to get multiples of 30ml.

Probably calling Bullcity is the way to go, they can advise you about air requirements.

IIRC if its a ORM-D by air, it does need hazmat shipping papers by law in the US.

BCF is a great company. Email or call during business hours here and you should get a response. Do you know anyone in the states that can get it to you?

They are great as you have said, i've never dealt with such an awesome company overseas. I gave Jeff my list for my next purchase and he pointed out three that he could see problems with. I changed those 3 to close variants or other brands with a lower rating, though I obviously didn't do that too well as BCF sent these via Fedex ground so I know im gonna have to part with at least one of these before they will allow them on the plane.

I will email them again now and inquire about buying in the smaller bottles, it makes sense as I have had 10ml key lime let through and problems arose only when I bumped that up to 120ml.

Thanks guys, while im here I may aswell ask. Is there any company that ships international (Any country) at a reasonable rate? I can't seem to find anyone even near BCF's prices and the shipping from the states only ends up costing me around $20.

You could try buying directly from Flavor Apprentice and other Euro based manufacturers.

@eshenz - The problem you're having is because of the ethyl alcohol in some flavorings. In larger quantity bottles, the amount of EA contained in them is more than they'll allow to go by air. You have 2 choices:

Buy the alternate versions (when available) that don't contain EA. You can buy whatever size of those you want, with no problem. I've bought and used several of them (including the TFA Key Lime), and I personally don't notice a difference in how they taste nor vape. I've always let the EA in the original versions evaporate off before vaping the eliquid made with it anyway.

You can still buy smaller sized bottles of the ones that contain EA, but...the total amount of EA in all those small bottles may cause your entire package to be refused transport by air.
