Flashlight Mod Mentor Wanted

Okay, I'm on my knees, begging for help:

I have the cutest little Hello Kitty flashlight keychain, ganked from my daughters junk box.

I'm dying to turn it into a flashlight mod. I've been reading all the various things about flashlight mods, and well... blame it on the pain meds, but none of it seems to make any sense in regards to what I'm wanting. (I'm sure it DOES make sense - I'm just not getting it).

I've got a soldering thingie, and the RCA thingie for the connector, and I'm sure if someone were willing to walk me through this it would make sense.

The way I'm picturing it is: the atty coming out of the end OPPOSITE where the light is, which is the end you insert the batts in, and oddly enough, the only end I'm able to get off. Which would mean, when you push the (already installed) button, the flashlight turns on (wheee! lightage!) and so does the atty.

I took pics (all sorts of pics) of the Hello Kitty flashlight on my cell (crackberry - lousy quality) but now can't seem to get them off my phone and onto my computer (blackberry desktop isn't working, and since I don't have the blackberry plan, I can't just email them to myself - did I mention I abhor blackberrys?!)

Anyway, basically, what I'm looking for is someone to kinda mentor me, help me through this whole flashlight mod thing, step by step. Kinda a vaping good samaritan thing? Hopefully by then I will have uploaded my photos to give you a better idea of what I'm working with...

I'm actually not a total idjit, just a wee bit fuzzy around the edges...

Thanks a mil!

;)

Interested in seeing the flashlight so pictures would be a must. Or maybe search the net for a flashlight that`s similar to it. Is it AA or AAA battery type?

It sounds to me like a push switch that is causing a thin copper strip to come down and touch the lights outer housing to complete the circuit.

And you want both the light and atty to work. Chances are it`s a AA or AAA battery and that would be say a energizer type running 1.5 volts if single. You need a 3.7 volt battery for kicking the atomizer in and that will pop the light bulb on it. So with this in mind do you still want the atty on the opposite end of the light?

Ok, so I managed to snag my daughter's camera, and I've attached the pics...

hope they are clear and make sense as to what you are viewing.

As for the batteries, it takes four LR41s - they don't say what voltage they are, and of course, being a ditz, it just occured to me to wonder: would the voltage from these four little batts even be an improvement on a typical e-cig battery?!

Hrmmm... see! This is why I need help. Desperately!

PS: I'm scrounging around in the toybox tonight to see what I can come up with... just out of curiousity... has anyone ever made a vibrator battery mod?!

First just back away from the toy box and look around the room. See any stuffed things with battery boxes and flashing lights. Yea flashing lights. Kids don`t allow me around their toys anymore. So if you could just sneak me a picture of inside this toy box. :p

I remember seeing some wild looking bug vibrator that would have been a nice table mod in some store. Well at least it had it`s own stand.

sneaking a look in a child toy box is LOW, I mean really LOW.

Buy your own toys. :)

I love the dollar type stores, Dollar Tree, 99Cent store, etc.
And the Cheap tool stores like Harbor Freight.
And the home improvement stores, Lowes and HomeDepot,

and the auto parts stores, and sometimes WallyWorld,

But don't steal the kids toys. That is really LOW.

I saw a Radio controlled two part device that probably could be configured to turn on the "other device" each time you vaped. Each puff gets better, and better, and better.:p

Ship them to me. :D

Well you worked that last mod pretty nicely and Natura did fit a 18650 into her Flashlight from madvapes so it very well may work with a little more then just slapping it together type deal. I vote just do it misterD. :)
Go for it.

Its not hard to fit and 18650, I did on my Madvape's one too. Probably easier using the smaller silver 510 connection like I did and trim the spring a little. I like the style of that one better.

if you have a harbor freight close to you go take a look at it. i bet you not gonna leave without it. i might get the flashlight even if the 18650 wont fit into it and end up getting that 18500 batt.
