Flat ribbon wire question

Hello!

I've been using 28g Kenthal for a while now. I do a 3/2 wrap and that gets me around .7 - .8 ohms resistance. I'm using an old electronic resistance meter and the readings are usually all over the place. Really need to invest in one of those ohm meters that you screw the atty on but I am rambling.

What would be the equivalent of 28g Kenthal in flat ribbon wire? I'm trying to go for .7 - .8 range and don't want to go super low.

That is going to depend on the size of the ribbon wire you get. I use .9x.1 on a 2 wrap on my RSST usually gives me a .60 ohm reading.

0.8x0.1mm ribbon wire is equivalent to 28ga round wire. Be warned that ribbon for me at least tends to run low. A 5/4 coil would give me just under an ohm and that's a pretty large coil. It sits even within the outside of the posts on an Igo L.
