Flavor Bump Discussion

Hey, AV fans.....

I wanted to start a discussion on the "flavor bump" that is available upon request.

I ordered small bottles (18ml) of Boba's Bounty and Gorilla Juice with flavor bumps and here are my personal opinions:

Boba's Bounty: Let me preface by saying that this is my favorite juice in this solar system. I vape Boba at least 75% of the time. I tried it with the flavor bump because my thinking was the flavor is so darned good, why not get a bit more of it.....well, as some have mentioned, including Porphy, more flavor is not always a good thing. And those people are correct in my opinion. The juice was not bad, but it doesn't really taste like Bobas anymore. Those slight flavor nuances that we all love are lost and its not nearly as enjoyable. I plan to work the 18mls of it in with the 200 mls of regular flavor Bobas that I bought recently.

Gorilla Juice: This is my second favorite juice and when I am not vaping Bobas, I am usually vaping Gorilla Juice. The flavor bump in this bottle is much better than the extra flavored Bobas. It is good this way. I'm not certain if its better than original recipe Gorilla Juice or not. I only vaped it for 1/2 hour. I was enjoying it, unlike the flavor bumped Bobas.

If you have any comments on flavor-bumped juices from AV, please take a moment to chime in.

I have actually thought about ordering the flavor bump with Boba's but have always chickened out. Boba's Bounty is currently my fave juice in the whole galaxy. I am thinking...if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Edit: My only issue with Boba's is it is sold out right now and I am almost out.

I suspect some juices are just more (or less) suited for a flavor bump than others depending on their complexity, like the type and number of ingredients. I don't know if that's the case or not, just a guess. I could see where a bump on some flavors could create a different taste (like maybe the flavors are "off balance", if that makes sense) rather than just more taste.

How much/how often you vape a particular flavor and the gear you use would also have an impact.

I have a nice collection of ave juices, but only 3 that are used really regularly. Of those 3, flue cured, which is probably my main juice (again, depending on the gear I'm using at the moment) is the only one always order with a bump.

Yeah, I've heard others talk about a flavor bump with Flue being good. Havana Gold also.

I get a flavor bump on flue cured and BB and definately to me makes FC even more tasty not that it is bad the regular way still darn good.Now BB I found if I let it sit a bit it does taste even better to me w/flavor bump.

Jiff, besides letting it steep, you might want to consider cutting the Flavor Bump BB incrementally. Start with equal parts regular BB and FB BB and go from there. You might dial in a sweet spot that way.

I like Boba's and every other juice with a flavor bump and I will tell you why. When you have been vaping Boba's for as long as I have, vape as much as I do per day(10ml), sooner or later your taste buds will get muted from vaping the same flavor day in and day out. You can always tone down out an overly strong flavor but you cannot do much with a weak one.

You guys all make good points. You know what I noticed? I vape Bobas all day and yeah, my taste buds become muted to the flavors after a while and it doesn't taste the same as it did when I first vaped it at 7:00am. (The first five or so tokes of Boba in the morning rule).

But.............

If I switch to a NON-AVE juice, even for like 15 minutes, when I return to Bobas, I taste those subtle flavors again and its tasting like it did at 7:00am! Maybe that's the key........keep two flavors with you and you can reinvigorate your tastebuds by switching back and forth

Hahahahahaha. Very true. When I switch to a different juice for just a few minutes, I swear that I can hear whispering! That must be the Boba Gods making fun of me and luring me back to them.

Just wondering......anyone have a tiny sample of BB/GJ w/ flavor bump they could sell me ? I'm actually fascinated to see what this tastes like, and when the sites up I was planning on buying 100ml of each...would really hate myself if I try the flavor bump after I buy 200mls and realize I like it better that way lol.

I wish I had some left to get to you, but I don't. What I can tell you is to me, Bobas didn't really taste like Bobas much after the flavor bump. Gorilla did and had just that.....more flavor. It was good.

Ah the sale is upon us soon...to flavor bump or not to hrm. I think I am going to get samples of flavor bumps but I know I will be kicking myself if I love it, and all my standard juice will seem less good haha. Maybe I shouldn't even try it...but the curiosity is making me wonder.

LegioX I have gotten flavor bump a few times on bb and flue cured and I don't notice much difference in TH or vapor or it being thinner for that matter.Have'nt really compared them to the non flavor bump juice side by side because was out of it before got the juice with bump.I mainly get the bump sometimes because my tastebuds are nonexistence alot of the time.These 2 juices are great with or without bump to me,but I can taste BB better with it.Sorry no more help than this.

Thanks Dale! That's a helpful response I think I'll just get small samples of each then to try it, and if I love it, oh well, I'll go through my 100mls and I'll know for next time.
