mr.fabe, if you look at the Origen V2 Atomizer brass slotted pin enclosed by the 510 thread barrel, the screw (positive pin) is recessed. On most atti's I have seen, the pin's protrudes 1/2 to a mm. or more. The pin on my Origen is recessed about 1/4mm within the 510 threaded barrel. This recess does not promote contact between positive pin and mod self adjusting pin because there is not enough adjustment (spring induced throw or travel) to contact the Origen positive pin.
I brought this to the attention of 101 vape, they refused to accept a return and did not offer any redress. I did not press the matter because my istick 30 may be at fault being the spring travel may have not been designed properly or an obstruction/hang up within the mod spring travel. The istick 30 works fine with my (3) Magma protruding positive pin rda's without any work around adapter.

Ref my past post:
Problem with istick 50w | E-Cigarette Forum

If you have any additional questions, just hit "like" at bottom right hand corner and I will get back to this thread.

Ok thanks.
The authentic Origen v2 doesn't have that issue at all. On Origen v2 clones with the shallow 510, one fix is to add a small thin washer before you put in the insulator and 510 screw.

What are you flavor hounds vaping these days?

My daily go-to RDA has been the Veritas built with a single, horizontal coil. It's relatively leakproof, has a generous well and just does the job while I'm out and about at work--so I'm looking for something similar but I haven't been keeping up for the last year or so. Not into cloud chasing or exotic builds. Trying to keep it simple and satisfying.

What's out there? What should I be looking at?
If you like the veritas that much I highly recommend the ology. It's made by the same dude but is better in almost every way.

The veritas is tad more leak resistant but the ology is waaaay easier to build and has much more intense flavor. And they're getting pretty affordable too ($55 on viper-vape).

I prefer my Veritas over my Ology. But I agree if you like the Veritas then check the Ology out.

Still loving the Origen v3, it has everything i want in a dripper. The Le Magister recently caught my eye for it's leakproof design. Chambersize appears to be similar to the Origen. Not a big fan of the slotted screws and the 120€ pricetag. I might try out a clone to see if it is as good as i think it might be before pulling the trigger on an original.

......My only gripe is the post holes are on the smaller side, had a hell of a time getting dual twisted 26g with .4mm ribbon wrapped in the grooves but there should be no issue getting standard twisted or even simple claptons in there. Authentic is $89 but worth every penny.

Slightly off topic, but what do you mean by 26 gauge twisted with ribbon in the grooves? Do you mean just twisting 2 strands of 26 with 1 strand of ribbon or a different technique? I've got all forms of twisted and Claptons down but have this spool of ribbon that I just know has potential for a great flavor build but short of using it as the outer wrap on a fused Clapton I haven't found anything stellar to do with it and something like this is what I envisioned when I bought the roll. Thanks!

How are you building your veritas? I tried everything in it and found dual vertical 26g 6 wrap 2.4mm builds gave the best flavor. I loved the veritas until I got the ology. Then I loved that until I got the origen v3. Just wondering because I still have my veritas and have been thinking about picking it up back up again.

I build everything with either 28 gauge or 30 parallel coils. I will use 3-6 strands per coil. Most of the time single coils but on a dual only I will rock duals. The more strands the hotter the vape.
I have ran 3-6 in the Veritas with satisfying results.

I usually wrap around a 9\64 drill bit, always vertical coils. I found them easier then horizontal with no advantage between the two.

I usually run in the .2-.3 range. Some times a little higher depending on the atty.

The build I use the most is 4 strands of 28 gauge. 4 Wraps 9\64 drill bit. Should come out to .26 ish depending on leg length.

I always try to get as shot of legs as possible. In a Veritas this can be tricky. I usually end up with the coil covering little more then half the air hole.

If you have not tried a higher gauge build with paralleled like this try it.

Straighten the wire using a drill. Then pinch the strands side by side near the end with pliers with no teeth. Then with another set twist the ends. This make wrapping and adjusting the coil while on the drill bit much easier. Instead of the strands moving independently as you pull n tug, they will move as one.

For an authentic it's a great price for a RDA. I'd also suggest the Derringer, REMatty, Mako shorty and the Venturi for flavor. Some of these are cloned.
