Hi All
I am new diabetic 50 years old and vaping for two years I just learnt that i am diabetic at the moment just I got diet and some pills. Only two days i am monitoring my sugar level and it seems ok i mean better than 5 days ago because it was double. I eliminate VG and PG about sugar level on blood but what about flavors ?
I started with DL and these days try to turn MTL i was a terrible DL vaper ( chain vaping / too much e juice etc. ) I am getting used MTL slowly but i get no satisfaction from flavors on MTL.
I like too much bakery flavors and they are not good on mtl so I try some tabacco mix like RY4 double
The last 1 year I make my own juice and never used sweetener or any effectors also less level of flavors.
Should I use Nbase without any flavors ? or very less ?
I used to smoking almost 3 pockets cigarettes and Ecig helped me to quit it. I am sure there are people here having the same problem and their experiences very usefull for me there are pages but pardon me many medical and technical term not easy to understand for me :) so simply I need some details from people who have the same problem with me.
Thanks in advance

I've seen posts from diabetics who state vaping has little effect on blood sugar, and those that don't seem to do well with flavors/vaping. I'd say its pretty individual.

What are your blood sugar numbers like now, vaping MTL with flavors? If they are within normal, I'd say not to worry about it too much, but if they are still not within safe levels you might want to look at unflavored.

What did your doctor say when you asked about it? He/she is going to be your first line of defense, here. VG is slightly sweet yes, I'm not sure how that translates to blood sugar when inhaled. Also most flavorings use artificial sweetener, not sugar, so even if something tastes "sweet" you aren't actually swallowing those flavors and even if you were, it is my undrerstanding that many diabetics are able to use artificial sweeteners without problems, but not all of them.

It's a very individual thing, but if you are worried with good reason, then eliminating sweeteners may be your best bet, but I am not a doctor and couldn't say for certain.

I'm a type 2 diabetic and have been vaping for four and a half years and have monitored may things that affect my blood sugar... carbs and sugar are the only things you need to worry about and neither should be consumed as hard as that is. Despite being on pills if I eat carbs my sugar levels spikes right away... I have simply cut out carbs and sugar for nearly 3 weeks now and my blood sugar levels are perfect and haven't been like this for a for a long time!

No matter what juice I vape has no effect on my blood sugar levels.

Going on diet and some excersises like walking in just 3 days blood levels cames to half. For example i just tested now when hungry and tester says 100 Last night after meal 158 I think keeping on diet and sport activates then i will be ok. Traditionally We Turks eat up too much carbs ( bread & rice especially ) So it is time to cut off all :)

I know you said you don’t use any sweetners or effectors when you mix but, I don’t know if you know this, ry4 double the tfa version has ethyl maltol in the flavoring already. I used it for my ejuice for years and never knew it. EM can mute flavors so maybe that’s why you can’t taste your juice. I just wanted to make you aware that some flavorings may have sweetners in them that you aren’t aware of. Good luck, I hope you find a solution to your lack of flavor problem.

I have to way in here, I'm a insulin dependent diabetic since I was 10 yo I'm 44 now, I purposely buy fruity and sweet juices to get that sweet kick I need. My A1C is 6.5 and I been vaping for 5 years now I vape on average somewhere between 10-15ml of juice a day. Maybe even more I really don't pay that much attention to it. I have never seen any difference in my blood sugar monitoring, my best and personal advice to you is this being a diabetic and smoking will kill you faster, than being a vaporer how likes fruity flavors. To get there kicks..
