If you are determined to extract your own (there are some questions about the safety of vaping organic compounds, but I'm going to do some coffees and teas) you are probably better off using PG instead of water, and using some heat (crockpot or brief microwave) to get a good and safer result.

It is discussed in the DIY e-liquid sub forum, usually in the Naturally Extracted Tobacco (even though it is obviously not tobacco) sub forum.

You may find the tannin in the tea wrecks your atomiser after a while with the water extraction- I've tried this with a few different extracts and find that skipping the water boiling stage and heating whatever you are extracting from with PG works better as it just extracts the flavour, and not the nasty stuff that clogs up your device. Try cocoa powder or vanilla too - they work great!
