I need some help finding a decent flavor.

Recently I ordered from Xtremevaping

1. 555.5 : It tastes terrible. Like some funky chemically weird cheaply "purple" flavored cigar & some other stuff

2. Orange Creamsickle: Taste is funky, again like a cheaply weird flavored tobacco with a slight tinge of burnt.

3. RY-4 : I haven't mixed this up but it smells like burnt caramel, im hoping maybe I will like this (if anyone has got this from Xtreme vaping it would be appreciated if you could tell me what to expect)

4. Light Cigarette- smells repulsive, like a medicine or a solvent

5. Campfire Coffee- smells more like your shirt the day after a campfire, not the good parts of one.

So I don't have high hopes for Light Cigarette or Campfire Coffee and I fairly low hopes for RY-4.

I am using a 10% PG 90% VG mix if that matters.

I love the flavor of the Blu disposable I had, so I ordered some Johnson Creek Red Oak Tennessee cured in hopes it will emulate it somewhat.

Any tips on what flavors will taste more "natural" would be awesome. These funky artificial flavors are not floating my boat.

Hello! Sorry you are having trouble finding a flavor you like. I hope I can help... But first, some flavors require steeping to be good. Some of them improve so much they are unrecognizable from what you first tasted. I find that a week is sufficient time to be able to tell if it is changing. Some require more than a week, but at least by then you can tell if it is at least starting to go in the right direction. So don't completely write off a juice until after you allowed it some time to steep.

personally, I have tried TONS of juices, from TONS of different vendors. But there are only 3 that I keep going back to:
-Alice in Vapeland- very fresh and natural tasting...very high quality. Ask for extra flavor if you are new or just enjoy bolder flavors.
Start with as many sampler packs as you can...or get the big sampler of all flavors.
www.aliceinvapeland.com

-Highbrow Vapor-exquisite flavors :) I recommend blacberry limoncello, blueberry chersecake, and orange de sangre to start.
E Cig Juice @ *_Highbrow Vapor_* - E Liquid Store, Shop our Store for Ecig Products.

-Fancee Juice- New and noteworthy vendor...quality on par with my other faves. Start with a sample pack, our just buy Meese Tracks and limeberry in bigger bottles to give you a good idea :)
www.fanceejuice.com

There is no plastic-like or artificial flavor from any of these vendors. In my opinion, this is some of the best you can find out there.

Hope that helped.

Hey BL!
I've been vaping now for a little over a month so my experience with juice isn't as extended as some other members. But, in my short time JC's Red Oak Tennessee Cured is pretty much my all day vape atm. Nice mellow baccy flavor with a bit of a sweet after taste. I've been branching out and have a few sample packs on order, but ROTC is the first staple that I've found for my juice arsenal. Hope ya like it. :vapor:

edit: IMO the Tennessee Cured is MUCH better than what they put in the Blu cartos. Much smoother.

Orange Creamsicle burns very easily. I've only had success with its flavor when pulsing the button for 1 sec and resting 2 secs in between presses.

WOW! You are 100% right. I can't even get that long before the flavor changes, maybe setting my twist the absolute lowest setting will be better than using the standard eGo battery for it? (twist goes to the 3.2 and isn't a regular eGo 3.7?)

Also something REALLY weird is going on; I let the 555.5 sit for about 12 hours and came back to it. The first hit was sweet and did not have as much funkyness to it, still not great, but different.
I found this to be the case over and over again, I let it sit for a while and the first hit tastes different. The more I hit it the worse it gets though.

Is this the result of steeping that people talk about? I just can't understand why this would be the case unless alcohol based perfumes are evaporating?

If so, can I just leave the top off the juice bottles to achieve the same effect?

p.s. anyone have any advice on what voltage to use, some sort of guide for certain flavors? I use CE4 clearomizers (short wick) and some old vision ones (the ones that thread inside the battery instead of outside the battery). It seems like the old vision clearomizer really does not like high voltage and the short wick CE4 likes 3.7 or less (4 seems like max you could use and it doesnt taste nice)

I am still dying for the Tennessee cured to get here. One problem with trying multiple flavors is; what do you do once you fill up your clearomizer and decide you don't want to vaporize it? Seems like you either have to waste the juice or have a lot of clearomizers?

curiously, you say you are using clearos....have you tried using a cartomizer instead?

you said you liked the flavor you got with blu, blu exclusively uses cartomizers for the juice delivery system, which you may have become accustomed to since they are very low-hassle once you get them filled properly. where with clearos you need to tip them and let the wicks soak for a second or two before taking a drag.

if you need recommendations on voltages, it really depends on the resistance of the clearo, in which case you can refer to this chart:
unled66-1.jpg

as far as tasting new flavors, you might want to get a drip atomizer like an io6 from ikenvape, that way you don't waste a whole clearo/carto/whatever full of juice and have to clean it every five seconds or so

edit: just remembered as well the newer blu batteries are threaded 510, so you could possibly be able to use your blu cartos on your device, try it out....they are actually decent cartomizers, they just didn't have enough battery pushing them before is all.

I actually only tried the blu disposable. I just tried it again and the flavor was better when it was new, it may be nearing the end of its life.

I don't chain vape by any means. I am pretty diligent about making sure the wicks stay wet but I shouldn't have to take a hit and wait like 30 seconds before the next one should I?

I seem to be getting better flavor from the 555 if I hit & release the button rather than holding it down. When I hold it down I hear a sizzle (which I thought was normal?) and the flavor changes.

Sizzle isn't so good on a clearo...those should be fairly silent

It isn't really loud like when you throw something in hot oil.

It seems like almost all the youtube videos ive watched have a sizzling sound when they use their device?

Even with my ego twist on 3.2 both my CE2 and CE4 have a slight sizzle....am I doing something wrong?

slight, sure, most of the time though it should be barely audible, and basically silent when you are drawing

Okay after MUCH deliberation I am about to order the following samplers from HHV:

Flavor #1 - Double D Watermelon
Flavor #2 - Vanilla Dream
Flavor #3 - Crackberry
Flavor #4 - Cinful Pear

and

Flavor #1 - Nice Pear
Flavor #2 - Shadowfax
Flavor #3 - Pirates Booty
Flavor #4 - Gandalf

What do you all think of those flavors? Anything I am missing out on that I should swap out for?

Seems like Cinful Pear, Double D watermelon, Shadowfax, Gandalf, Booty and Crackberry are very highly rated

Just a personal opinion (tastes are very individual) but I did not enjoy Gandalf or Shadowfax at all. I do like Huntsman which has a good tobacco flavor somewhat like pipe tobacco, but not too strong.

I really like the JC Red Oak TN cured I got. I like sweeter, nutty and vanilla flavored tobaccos. I really want to try their Gollom (raisin flavored) but it isn't offered in the sampler pack.

I read that Shadowfax was sweet honey and tobacco flavor which sounds good (I like RY4 pretty well). I haven't been able to find anyone describing either flavor in detail really.

I guess I should also add that now that 555.5 and RY4 have steeped I enjoy them. RY4 more. But neither are anything to rave about.
