I started on a Nautlius, vaping 1.6 ohm, 8w on an iStick 30w. I used 18mg Mister-E-Liquid in RY4 67PG/33VG. It was great. This was my first vaping experience.

A week in, I started looking at things and got myself an iSub PolyCarb, vaping 0.5 ohm, 19w on iStick 30. ITS AMAZING!

I became enamoured by the premium juices and bought a few small bottles of 6mg to try out on the iSub. Bombies Nana Cream (Max VG) and Cuttwood Unicorn Milk (not sure about vg/pg here) are amazing on my iSub!

I attempted to use my Nautilus today after a week of iSub... and now it tastes... well... sub-par. I read that SubOhm provides better flavor. Is this normal? Does SubOhming generally convert someone completely? Do any of you switch back and forth? If so, is there a marked difference in flavor for you as well?

Right this minute, I'm running...

1. SMOK Micro ADC II @ 1.5ohm/12.6W - my super-tootler, with good flavor
2. Kanger Subtank Nano @ 1.2ohm/16W - with VERY good flavor
3. SMOK eGO Cloud Tank @ 0.5ohm/26W - with Excellent flavor
4. UD Bellus RTA @ 0.17ohm/37W/420F TC - with Outrageous flavor

They're all serving me well. I prefer not to be too conspicuous, so #4 stays at home with its 3mg liquids (which work better around bedtime anyway). The other 3 stay loaded with my normal 12mg fluids. The Bellus really drinks juice, so the others are more reliable when I'm out and about for undetermined amounts of time.

There are many factors contibuting to the change in flavor. Airflow, temp, nic level. Some juices perform better in one tank or the other. Many people are happy with all sorts of different styles. Personally, although I do have some sub-ohm tanks, I prefer rebuildables. RTA or RDAs. You have more control on how you vape, your coils last weeks or months(while costing you pennies), and the flavor is surpassed by none.

Not necessarily the tank, even the same tank with different coils can make a HUGE difference. I was using a Smok TFV4 with quad coils on my Ipv3 li and Reuleaux RX200 and picked up a few of the dual Clapton coils for it. I can't even use the quads anymore because the flavor seems so muted compared to the dual Clapton. Night and day difference.

better coils / wicking / chamber size / airflow control have a large influence on intensifying flavors, when you don't have to rely on pre built coils / burnt coils working or not working is the best part.

Flavor is my N°1 priority in vaping .

Ive tried so many Sub-ohm setups (I have an Atlantis, a Kanger Subtank Nano, an OCC Aromamizer-have tried all the dif compatible coils they sell 4 it) and...

....Ive never managed to get the level of results I was hoping for, flavor-wise :(

When I go up in wattage with these devices my juices just seems to get sweeter & sweeter and my vape just gets hotter (TOO hot even though I enjoy my vape warm...)...but thats it really ?

my (sweet) juices just get more or less the same extremely sweet-sugary taste, its almost like they "lose" all their individual subtleties of flavor. They all turn into practically the same juice !(im exagerating a bit here of course but it seems to tend that w ay!)

I figure I must be doing something wrong as everyone else seems to enjoy sub-ohming so much and seems to praise the super-flavor you get out of it ???.

Im very satisfied right now with the flavor Ive found with my Kabuki + P3 at 10W but have always felt Ive missed out on something with the sub-ohming.... :(

I have all kinds of mods, P3's, Radius, Sigelei 100w, tons of Istick 30's & 50's,Istick 100,Joyetech eVic VTC Mini 60W TC,Istick 60 TC.

I use Premium-type ejuices, fruit or dessert flavors, at least 50/50 or higher VG

I've not heard a vendor ask if the juice was for sub-ohm per say, but they will ask if you drip or use tanks. Drippers use Max VG which will mute flavor. With these they will usually recommend a flavor boost.

So your telling me if I buy from the same juice manufacture two different pg/vg ratios, one max vg and one 50/50 of the same recipe (flavor) they will recommend I add more flavoring to make it taste the same as the 50/50 ?
Suggestion Natural High VG E-Liquid, Organic & Natural flavors, Reduced PG, E-Cigarette, Refill, E-Liquid
I use 50/50 in my RDA as well as 70/30 ............... I also use a variety of sub ohm coils on everything

Yes I have had that happen with several juice companies and a vape shop or two asked me as well. I absolutely can tell the difference in a max VG juice that the flavor is somewhat different. Others may not feel the same way.

The only really noticeable thing is, unlike regular juice (70vg 30PG is what i call regular) 100% VG juice is a bit more sweet. On some juices i don't feel the difference in strength of the flavor, and that's mostly on citrus based flavors, but i notice a bit more sweet aftertaste. Just like Jdurand said, some people feel more difference, some feel less, so there's no universal answer to that. Best thing to do is simply go out and try it all and make your own conclusion :)

There is a huge difference in a mixologist that has been working a recipe for many months and vape shop / bathroom / basement brewer, that knows his recipe / flavorings my friend..............

You've got the devices, but have you tried temp control, cllmda? I was skeptical for a long time, but now I believe there's something good going on there. It's new to me, but I'm setting 37W and 420F on the VTC Mini, using an RTA with a 0.17ohm titanium coil. It never gets above warm, but the flavor and density is great. I could probably kick it up a notch or two, actually. AND, it's nice not to worry about running the tank dry and burning the wick.
