Hi guys.
I've got my Blitzen rta for 2 days, and I still have a problems with flavor, it's too weak. For example, I had Azeroth rta, and with double coil deck it gave a good flavour.
I've tried staggered fused clapton (0.4x2+0.2+0.2 nichrome; 2.5 mm) and fused clapton (0.4x2+1.5 nichrome, 3 mm). I've also tried to set them closer to the top or on airflows level; closer and farther to airflows, but the result nearly the same.
The only thing I've not tried is to set coils closer to the deck (1-2 mm). But it's irreversible, so I don't wanna try it without advices.
Many people say that this RTA have a really good flavor, comparable to Manta and other good RTA's. But I just can't understand how to get it.
I hope for your help and advices about how to get the best flavor on this RTA (using 70-80 W).

I got my Blitzen last Thursday, so I have only done one coil build on it so far, and I've got my coils just level with and slightly leaning towards the vent holes (as per YouTube instructions), and vaping at 30-35W, and I'm getting a very good taste, any more W's than that and it seems to go down hill a bit. . Compared to the other 2 RTAs I have, I love it, and can only see it getting better results as I "tinker" with it more.

It may also just come down to the airflow design of the tank you have. All the tanks in their line have different arrangements for that, so the one you bought may not give what you want. I would say try another model their line or go to a different brand tank all together and try what they have.:toast:

Further to my last post, I have replaced the coils with DIY (0.38ohms) Placed a tiny bit higher, and rewicked it, this time using a little more cotton, and more wick in the chambers, and this thing is awesome, the flavour is immense. As stated before, love this thing, I read somewhere this tank is all about the build and wicking, totally agree, but more tinkering required I think.

I just (no ad) tried to install coils closer to the deck and also enough close to the airflows. As a result I have an amazing flavor, and now this RTA can be called as "aromoizer" :thumb:

I have the same flavor issue with this tank. I've tried to lower, higher coils, more close more far from holes etc. with no luck. I've seen in some youtube video, they say "make your coils height such that the coil's bottom will be line up with middle air hole line" (there are 3 line of air holes with honeycomb pattern). I've tried this as well but couldn't get "that" flower. Can you guys please provide a photo of your coils, especially how high your coils from the deck and how far from the holes.
My setup is usually kanthal alien Clapton dual coil, 0.20-0.30 ohm, 80-100 Watts

Glad you are getting some flavor. I don't have that atomizer but I will say that for most of the rebuidables I have it takes me time and tinkering to get good flavor, and over time those skills generalize a bit, so I know what variables to play with more as I build. I have gotten some good improvements sometimes with very slight changes, so I'd encourage you to keep at it, and I'm glad you decided to if giving up on it. I generally tend to guess that quite often, people may give up right in the home stretch, but if most folks are stating "awesome flavor" and I'm not? Well, for the Ares it was a simple as bumping up my wattage a few watts. I was unthrilled with it until I finally did that, LOL. I guess if you'd asked me why I hadn't attempted that simple adjustment first, I'd have to say the wattage range was a bit higher than I was accustomed to with all my other tanks, so it just wasn't something I considered doing, at first.

Best of luck moving forward.

Nice Pictures Chuck, real neat and tidy, I'll wait until I post my pictures as it needs decoking, cleaning etc, it's working fine right now, so I'm not touching it. I place my coils way lower than you, about a mm of the deck, and it's giving me bags of flavor, I've had my coils high before, but not as high as you have here, but it's now next on my "to do" build list. Does having the coils that high opposed to lower increase the flavor greatly? I really couldn't see that much difference with my coils higher, but as I said, I've not had them that high before.

It's kinda interesting to see how many different ways to set coils people can do to get an "incredible flavor".
Last advice I've heard was about to set coils as high as possible and closer one to another (because of spherical treatment on the top, which can't give a way to install coils close to the airflows).
As the man said, using Aliens v2 and this coil set technique, flavor (of Blitzen) becomes really similar to Kennedy RDA (which is one of the best atomizer for flavour ever).
I will try it in 2-3 days, results will be here.

Hi guys, I've got results of my idea.
What I've done (rip Chester :c ): I've installed coils (Triple Fused Clapton 0.4x0.1 full ni80 3.5 mm) really close (but maybe possible closer to 0.5-1 mm) to the top and very close one to another (about 1-1.5 mm).
What I get: Now it feels like RDA with side airflow (last RDA I've tried was Druga) and has very soft tightening.
What happened with flavor and vapor? I'm vaping on 65-75w (depends on how many vapor and flavor I wants), and with this coil set technique I start feel notes of the eliquid used (before that flavor was very blurred). And, of course, I've got lots of vapor just because of fat coilbuild and wide side airflow.
The next thing I want to try about my Blitzen (in 1-2 weeks because of exams + I want just enjoy my actual build) is to set coils closer to airflows (as possible). And, maybe, in a month I will try Quadro Fused Clapton.
P.S. A few photos as results.

To be honest I don't see any reason to by Blitzen.
If you wants flavor with tank - you should try Aqua Reboot or Manta or Zeus or anything else with bottom airflow. If you wants MORE flavor and lots of vapor - you'd better to buy any RDA with side/bottom airflow (or even bottom+side like Bolt RDA), they all can give you flavor and vapor.
Just too many time I've wasted on Blitzen, and I think this is only the first half, because I still have a few ideas about coil set.

I have a feeling that if I will buy Reload RDA, I will just forget about Blitzen.
I've Been contemplating what tank i want next. I have a replacement 4ml tank coming in. I broke the bubble and waiting on the tank. But at 2ml tank I get okay favor depending oon build but 3-4 puffs and I need to top off the tank.

I have a good flavor too. But there are 2 problems:
1. Flavor can be better, but it's impossible to predict how you need to set coils, and which coils.
2. Anyway it's a way easier (and seems like better) to buy RDA with deep storage and tasty airflow.

OOO guys I was wrong about flavor.
Today I bought a few premium eliquids for Blitzen and you know what? This machine gives very good flavor as for side airflow tank.
I didn't change anything in my build:
I've installed coils (Triple Fused Clapton 0.4x0.1 full ni80 3.5 mm) really close (but maybe possible closer to 0.5-1 mm) to the top and very close one to another (about 1-1.5 mm).
Now I know for sure that I will not change anything in build next two weeks, because now Blitzen gives me everything I need.
Everyone who owns Blitzen RTA should try this if you want something more from this atomizer.
