Flavor issues...

Recently, the person who got me off of tobacco cigarettes and on to e-cigarettes suggested a flavor for me that I haven't yet tried: a combination of Banana/Lime/Apple/Nicotine/Kiwi/Strawberry. I went ahead and placed an order from 3 different vendors for this flavor (standard pre-filled 510 cartos), and the first of the 3 shipments arrived in the mail yesterday!

I was severely disappointed this AM when I went to try the flavor (with my 510 mini battery), though: it was terrible - no vapor, a massive throat hit (so much so that it's unpleasant), and it tastes like burning plastic. I couldn't even get to the third hit.

I don't understand: I've tried many other flavors from this vendor, and every one of them has been awesome! I tried switching batteries, and even changing cartos, but the second carto was just like the first.

I don't want to mention the vendor by name, in case it's pilot error on my part, but it's a well-known vendor.

Any thoughts on what may be wrong here? Has anyone else out there tried this flavor (I'm guessing yes, since so many vendors have it)?

It may be possible that you received blank cartos instead of filled cartos as you are not getting vapor but a burnt plastic taste. The plastic taste is probably burnt filler material. Are these cartridges or are they cartomizers? I do not know what your knowledge level with vaping is, but cartridges plug into an atomizer that screws onto the battery and cartomizers have threads and screw directly onto the battery. If cartridges then you may have some burnt filler material on your atomizer.

Sounds terrible ... Dont think you gave enough info for any suggestions.

Dry hits are caused by: unproper wicking, atomizer needs cleaning, or atomizer is dead and burnt. I would say try the juice in a different atty.

Sorry for your bad experience. Although I'm not familar with that particular flavor, I too have had the unfortunate experience of receiving horrible tasting carts from a previously satisfactory vendor. Also a popular one. Nasty plastic/chemical taste. Was enough to make me ditch carts for good. Maybe you'll have better luck with juice.

Seem to be leaning that way myself. My first thought was to go with the Volcano tankomizers and blank tanks, that are compatible with my 510 mini batteries from blu and volcano. Anyone else out there using these? Do they work well?

Sounds like you got a bad batch of dried out cartomizers. Notify the vendor, they should make good on replacing them.

you could get blank cartos and fill them with your own juice, or get a small tank system?

Most of my friend prefer vg than pg yet I am the quite opposite... than again it could be your carto....
