So, I'm flipping through blockbuster online and rating movies we've seen as a family so that we don't get the same ones again. That got me thinking... it would be nice to have a rating scale like that. Where the stars show the general ratings but you can rate it too. That way, when you're flipping through the flavors, it will help recall what has been tried and was only ok, tried and yucky, or tried and adored (though we probably remember the yummiest without prompting). On the sly, it would bene the company about what people really think about a product without having to look at the sales statistics of it.

Keep in mind, I don't mean the comment/stars that the system currently has on the bottom of a product's details... i mean a active star system that shows up on the product page grid and account information exactly like netflix.

There's a problem with that system. If you are quitting smoking your tastes will most likely change over the next few months. What you love today may not be at all what you want tomorrow. To my knowledge there aren't any "bad" flavors here. Everything I've tried is vapeable (is that a word?), but not necessarily my favorite today.

Hmm... the point is just to the left of being grasped and that's probably because of my poor explanation. I agree, that what you like, I may not (which is why the stars are... blue!) but when I order and decide what I think about it, my stars will be yellow, which contribute to the general opinion that makes up the total average, thusly resulting in the blue stars originally seen next to the flavor. By there being yellow stars, I can see that -I- have tried it, and thought it was "just ok" by giving 3 yellow out of 5 stars when I ordered it last. Maybe I want to try it again, and this time I love it, 5 stars! It can be adjusted by my yellow being changed. This effects the blue (average user review) and anyone that hasn't tried it, can see that 50 people voted this flavor to have 2 stars... or that flavor to have 4 stars. That way, they can see if they want to spend their money on it. Like hmm...

I dont like pancakes! But I got a sample from V4L (thanks!) I'm vaping it because, as dawn said, it's vapable... but would I have purchased it or looked to? No... and probably wont. The point is, maybe I give it 3 stars because I'm not a fan of that flavor but it was pretty close to the RL taste. Get 5 people to place their stars and the blue averages out to 4 (because people love breakfast food flavors? LOL) That way, when Mary Kay comes by and reviews that flavor (just saying for example purposes) and you love pancakes, maybe you love the vape and give it a 5... maybe you love pancakes but hate the vape flavor and give it a 2... Your stars remind you waht you've tried and what you thought and could still be changed if you ordered again at a later time (the yellow stars) but the blue is what a person who has not rated the product would see the average rating of 5000 rates (or whatever number that decided to rate it)

Correct me if I'm wrong. What you are wanting is something that would show that you've purchased it, liked/disliked it by how you starred it, and to show what other people thought about it along with other flavors?

Yes and no. Strictly a star system. I know there's a star/comment system if you look at the details of a product. What I'm suggesting would have no comments (hasn't anyone used netflix? Blockbuster online? The ratings are -right there-, click on it and see comments with some of the ratings).

Hm... if you click "premium cartomizers" right there at the front page. You get shown a grid 2x2 of products. Maybe under the price, or under the add to cart button there's stars to show the general rating.

To carry over, if you use the product and give it a self rating, it shows up in the account section so you, as a customer, can see what you've already purchased.

(Did I buy that apple tart? WOW apple, sweet apple, caramel apple, -anything-apple... or was it that sour apple..." --- Ok can be seen by searching through invoices or on your cart)

As your browsing the 2x2 list, you can see that you've already rated 2 of the 7 apple themes (just tossing number here, no idea how many there are and too lazy to look) flavors. Then you think "Oh, tried WOW apple... Tried Sour apple, Let's try caramel apple" The blue stars (general review) say it's excellent. You buy but it tastes like burned apple to you - rate it a 1 with your yellow stars and move on. Later, when you order, you can see that you tried it already right from the browsing.

Now, if you want to try it again, great! Just adjust those little yellow stars to your new rating.

Your yellow stars adds up with my yellow stars, and that's what makes the blue stars... the average of users that have rated that product.

Honestly, i'm not understanding (and slightly frustrated though it might be the too - low nic levels) what is so complicated about understanding this system.... the movie venues have the same one. Just wishing it was on V4L's flavored products (juice and cartos)

ETA clarity though it doesnt seem to be all that clear.

I have that system already......It's a notebook (pen and paper)....lol

I know what you are meaning, the biggest problem with that is the programming and the server space that a database like that would take up....Now, what would be a little more feasible from a business standpoint is to be able to back to your orders under your account and have an area for notes.....then you can put your thoughts in AND you can easily see how long it has been since you tried that particular flavor....or at least ordered/received it

Ah yes the server space -bows to that point- A note area would be good but that' kinda like what they have in the system now on the "detailed product page" thing. The star base is already there (on the bottom)... kinda. LOL

I figure each FLAVOR would have a rating, regardless of Nic strength because most know and newbies quickly figure out their prefered nic to make things "taste right" How many flavors are there in V4L... 100, 1000? each one already has a star rating system on the details page...

IDK, i guess i just want it on the browse page and was thinking the self-rating would be a way to say "ive already tried this" when on said browsing area.

In the mean time, I've got a note book and already noted that Sour apple is not too shabby but pancake is not a favorite... (i dont like pancakes anyway but hey, not going to knock the vape- it does taste like pancakes)

I think my husband looked at the Netflix rating software when they were doing an upgrade just before they ran a contest for a better ranking system. It's gi-normous! So, I agree, space is the drawback but I do pay attention to impromptu reviews given by fellow vapers and that's influenced me to a large degree. I'm not a fan of peppermint but the vape is to die for! Tried the peppermint cowboy/wowboy (?) and it was just as yummy! So, let us know what you're liking and not liking and we'll share our favorites!

Nope :) But it would be a dream job, wouldn't it? I'd love to be in charge of sampling the "goodness!" I was offline because I have been unwell :( And hubby looked at the netflix software as a consultant for a group of his students who wanted to enter the contest to improve the movie rating system :) He's a professor and I'm retired :p But, asking questions is how you find out things so feel free to ask whatever you'd like and welcome to the family!!!
