It seems that my taste buds change through out the day. When I first woke my ry4 taste rich and flavorful, then a few hours later I started to get a perfume like taste, now it just seems dull and muted. This is so aggravating and has happened no matter which style of clearomizer I use. The only thing is doesn't change on is the auto 5.

Yeah. I probably need to start hitting up some of my other flavors. I've only been doing ry4 as of late, I need to put some menthol back in the mix.

I LOVE RY4. It's too easy to stay with it all day but I had to ease back off it to truly enjoy it. When I 1st started vaping, menthol was the only flavor because of years of menthol cigarettes. Then it became too much menthol... even when I wasn't vaping.

When I found RY4, I became addicted to the flavor... awesome change! Did it almost exclusively for days... all day... then I couldn't quite get back to that initial WOW. Now I rotate my flavors and when I do go back to RY4, it's delicious.

Cant do this at work & I know it sounds a little girly for a big Heman like me, but when I'm home I get a huge glass of Peach iced tea & sip on it while I'm vaping. It always amazes me how it enhances the flavor of almost any vape.

That's because you are cleansing your palate. Oooh peach iced tea... yummy!!!!! :thumb:

I always have two different flavors going at any one time; sometimes 3. Nine hours later, and it's a different two. Luckily, I have about 8 flavors that I really like, and keep on hand. Then, there are 2 or 3 others that I buy from time to time, and every 2 to 3 months, I'll come across something that I want to try. So far, my taste-buds haven't totally rebelled on anything.

Same experience for me... I usually switch out flavors (I vape mostly SI 555 and Desert Joe) and go to the fruity stuff when other liquids start getting tasteless for me.

I only vape cartos, and one thing I've noticed occasionally -- and I'd like to hear others with a similar experience -- sometimes my "tobacco" flavors taste very salty. I'll have three batteries with cartos next to me (555, DJ, RY4) and suddenly they all taste the same: like salt, with no other flavor! Just me, or has anyone else experienced this?

Give the taste buds you normally use with your favorites a rest. Switch to something totally different... for instance if you have been vaping a vanilla blend dessert or tobacco like ry4, switch to plain pineapple or pomegranate... meaning a simple, single, flavor where there's no chance of anything you've been vaping in one of the more complex ones. Nothing, but nothing,.. smoking nor eating... ever gave your taste buds the workout they get vaping so they need a rest.

I kept failing to stop analogs, because I always tried to replace the taste of my 30+ years of tobacco cigs. Now that I've stopped analogs, I like "spiked punch", "Vanilla Bourbon Cigar", "Amaretto Almond", "Blue Raspberry", etc. I can't vape any one of them the whole day, though. I switch between them. Thank goodness for being able to pre-fill clearos and brother label machines. Vape on!

I also note that my standard flavors change throughout the day. I believe part of it is taste fatigue, but also the carto juice gets depleted and when refreshed the taste comes back. In addition, SI batteries are supposed to put out a constant 3.7 until it needs recharging, however I have found that when the battery gets low, the taste also gets muted until the battery blinks and needs recharging. Another thing is that I find after a few days, my cartos need to be cleaned and refilled. The fiber filler or the heated wire can get gunked up too which will definately change the taste.
