Hey there,

Yes, I just recently ordered four of the tobacco flavors from Flavor West. I thought that the prices for 4oz sizes were a little low, but I went ahead and got them anyway.

IMHO they are too watered down with alcohol to make good flavoring for ejuice. The 10ml samples that I made to test them out are still unvapeable after a week of steeping. Normally, I don't even consider steeping to be mandatory, but these were just flat out soapy/alcohol tasting when I first made them. There is enough head room in the bottles that I made the juice in that the alcohol may evaporate enough to make the juice tolerable.

The jury is still out, and if I come up with a useable recipe I will let you know. IMHO I would steer clear though as there are better options out there.

If someone out there has used these with success I would LOVE to know your secret. :)
Just my :2c:

I have a couple of the FW tobacco flavors. I did not get them at ecigexpress though. I found them to be very weak in flavor, even Havanna. It seems no matter how much I use, I barely get any tobacco flavor at all. There is that weird taste that everyone calls perfume or soap, but I just add a drop or two of vanilla and a drop or two of coconut and that works for me. Guess if I can't get much of a tobacco taste, I thought I could get some kind of taste with those two.

I'm new to DIY but have recently mixed FW peach tobacco, cherry tobacco, rum tobacco, and VA fire cured. The VA was soapy tasting so I knocked it down to appx 5% flavoring (will test it out later). The rum is quite nice, more rum than tobacco. Same w/ the peach and cherry, nice but not much tobacco. I may add a drop or two of another tobacco in those to bring it out more.

Alcohol doesn't bother me much but anything "soapy" does. I heard the same soapy description for seedmans so I wonder if they are somehow using that.. Are you getting soapyness from the non-tobacco flavors or does it seem that there is some common denominator between all the tobaccos? They could be buying gallons of Seedman's "volume increaser" for all we know.

Vapor Renu owns Flavor West but Vapor Renu is a branch of this other company Renu Cleaners... The Flavor West site is kind of shady with a private domain registration (pay extra to keep owner's info hidden though Vapor Renu says they own them), no real contact info and just these two pictures of a manufacturing plant on their About Flavor West page.

I'm not a fan of mystery throat hit additives or other things like they add to their juice personally. When that page first went up the custom blend just listed "flavor enhancers" or similar. I'm just going to stop typing now before I have a Robert Irvine moment.
