I'd like to know too, as well as what their bases are for the nic juice and the flavorings. Might be a really dumb question, because I really don't know if flavorings alone contain VG, PG, both, or neither or if it varies by brand and flavor.

When I asked how much cream soda flavoring to strengthen my cream soda e-liquid, they just said add as much as I want. I was kind of looking for an answer along the lines of what you are asking, though. I think cream soda must be a tough one because even with adding a whole 5mL of their flavoring to 15mL of their already flavored cream soda e-liquid, it still tastes very weak to me and that is not the case with any of the other VB flavored juices I've tried. And I can't find anyone else who makes a good one either!

Hmmmm, I might be able to help ya' out here...

Here's a few general pointers when it comes to VB's DIY flavorings:

- With most of them, start out with 10-20% flavoring, then increase your concentration as necessary. Different flavorings have different potency levels, and there are going to be some stronger flavorings where you'll find 20% isn't necessary. Likewise, there are some flavorings that I will crank all the way up to 40% of my total mix! Just depends on what your taste buds desire.

- Start small: don't make any batch over 3-5ml unless you're certain you're going to like the results.
- ALWAYS wear your safety gear, as nic juice is VERY DANGEROUS stuff. Gloves, apron, face shield/goggles. Treat the highly-concentrated stuff like toxic waste as far as handling it is concerned.

Something I've noticed is that with some flavors, it doesn't matter how much flavoring you add...it'll still taste the same. It's as though the flavor level "peaks"l, per se. A little PGA in the mix (say 1 drop per mL) seems to bring out some flavors really well, and adds MEGA throat-hit.

I've heard great things about this stuff called "Vape Wizard", from what I understand it stabilizes otherwise unvapable juice and makes it rather palatable. I've never used it, however it gets some rave reviews. This might be worth looking into if you find that your juice isn't quite where you want it to be. One day I'll get some and play with it, see what happens!

Hope this helps!! :)

I've used vape wizard in several of my DIY juices and can't really see a difference in the juice. Just my opinion. Taste is subjective in every way. Some see a difference but I don't. Too many years of killing my taste buds with harsh menthols. Yes, PGA gives one heck of a throat hit.

Best experience I can give is to start small with little flavoring and go from there. You can always add more to taste. Please remember that some flavors get better with age. So when you're close to what you like, stop and let it sit a couple of days then try it again and go from there if you need to add or not. Write down what you added so you don't forget. I'm old so my brain can't remember too much...LOL.

Taste is subjective. Also some flavours take less than others. And each brand of flavour is concentrated differently.

As a rule of thumb, I would start with 10% flavouring and let it sit for 24 hours before trying it. It's easier to add more flavouring to a weak juice that it is to try to water down a strong juice.

The key is to keep good records and to no just put a dash of this and three drops of that.

SteveFromNY - Damn! You are a stud. My face starts to melt if I use more that 18% CinnaBomb flavoring.

LOL, my taste buds get numb sometimes and I can't even feel it, I think that's what happens. Going forward, I'm going to use 1 bottle of flavoring per 30ml bottle I make. That should bring the % to about 16%. Of course, my mixes never turn out as good buying the juice directly from VB but I'm vaping on a budget.
