Myth...

You are quite indeed correct.

That page also states it would be extremely difficult to abosorb that amount of nicotine by route of inhalation, however systemic absorbtion via the skin is my main concern with any nic liquids, especially the higher mgs.

Add to that risk when these higher milligram liquids are packaged in glass dropper type bottles. Once that bottle is open it wouldnt take much to accidentally spill the entire bottle on yourself.

At the very least if people choose to vape and purchase 48mg so be it. However possibly placing warnings on higher mg nic contents alerting new vapers to the strength and dangers would help? Similair to the warning on Duragesic (Fentanyl Patches) which clearly states the potency of this drug and that it is for use in opiate tolerant patients only? And also only making these higher mg liquids available in the plastic squeeze type dropper bottles. If the bottle gets knocked over with the cap off, you are looking at only drops of exposure versus and entire bottle...

Just a thought.

Well said, ole' chap. the dropper bottles should only be used for mixing a small amount, and not for long term storage. Limiting high concentration liquids to the squeeze bottle containers would be safer.

I personally only have one dropper bottle, and it is only a 3ml container used for blending flavors. All other fluid is in the squeezy bottles.

I too think there should be a potency label on the bottle if sold with contents that could be fatal. "Warning: contents are toxic and can be fatal if ingested or exposed directly to skin. For use in moderation with personal vaporizer only."

The warning is only seems necessary because of the current litigious nature of our country. But anyone using a chemical to alter their state should know ALL the related facts before use.
