Can anyone give a general flavorings comparison for some of the major providers out there? Meaning, light flavor vs, strong, sweeter vs duller, what their strong points are (ex. fruits best) and percentage starting point (I know this varies greatly, and is determined by personal taste but a good starting point would be helpful).

For example, from my experience...

FlavourArt - very mild flavors, I think their fruit flavors are a bit "candish", good tobaccos. My starting point for testing is around 2%.

would be great to get some more feedback for other flavorings such as...

Capellas
FlavorWest
LorAnn
Tasty Puff
The Flavor Apprentice
Ms. T's

This is relatively difficult, because, without actually trying numerous, or even all of said flavorings from a vendor, it's hard to say what % to start off of without actually trying them all. For example: I notice that you describe FA fruits as being candyish, and 2% is a good starting point (for tobaccos?), right? Well, unless you've tried every fruit, there is really no way to say that all FA fruits taste of candy, or that all tobaccos are better started low (though, this is the general rule of thumb it seems for any flavor).

The flavors you've tried thus far, and therefore you're seeing a trend can lead you to believe that this would be the case with all of the similar flavors. However, without actually trying them all, one would have to do this type of recommendation per individual flavor, rather than per company.

Then there is, as you've stated, the subjectivity of it all. Still, not a bad idea for giving peoples a possible idea of what to expect. :)

One thing I can say for sure is that TFA is a crap shoot. Some flavors require more others less. Capella's is more consistent in my experience. I don't like any of the Lorann's that I've tried so can't say much about that one and I'm still experimenting with FW but it seems to be more on the consistent side but requires a high %. But then I use only VG so I need a high % of flavoring.
