flavors in E601 pipe

Hi Dawn and George, Picked up my order(1906) at the Post office today. It was there yesterday but this cold is trying to whip me so I waited a day. A couple flavors were great in my 801 and KR8 but just didn't come through the pipe. I thought the 601 pipe deserved its own thread for flavors since it is so different. It has a reputation for muting most flavors. I had already tried the Black and Mild Wine and it was a very accurate taste match. This order had the Mint Chocolate Banana Float. What a knockout! All the flavors come through better than great. And the aroma is so nice. My wife walked in the room and said "OMG, that smells good!" I still have a few other flavors from you to try but I just had to let you know that I will be sure to include this on my next order. Take care and thanks again.

While there is much discussion about flavor from the DSE601, I find the pipe produces weak flavor. Vapor is great, but lightly falvored e-liquids do not fair so well with the device. I do not know why.

All that said, I get good satisfaction from strongly-flavored liquids like RY4 and Flue-cured tobacco. Another thing to be aware of is the battery voltage. At full charge, a DSE601 battery registers around 4.2 volts. For me, when the battery has discharged to 3.7 volts, I replace it. Vapor production is diminished too much for my liking. If this is something you also notice, have at least 4 batteries on-hand plus an extra battery charger.

Two more flavors that work well in the pipe for me are:
EL Choco Orange Stick - could be habit forming.

Orange Cream DIY flavoring @ 40% with a 50/50 vg pg base is great.

L XX Sweet Cherry VG - did not come through at all. Nice aroma, good vapor, but no taste. Works great in the KR8.

MarlyB 48XX VG @50% with 50/50 VG PB base is a full flavor taste.

I think you mentioned elsewhere that the VG flavors were not as strong?

Debating now whether the next order should be base flavors and experiment myself, or premixed flavors (cause they taste so good).
