I love vaping, but every flavor i try becomes bland, and never returns to new, Its like the only taste is the base liquid its mixed from, like for example all my bwb tastes the same, all my DK tastes the same. with subtle but not distinguishable flavors, the main taste of my juices are just the base liquid. I get new flavors and they are awsome, for a couple of days then i just cant taste it anymore, i have even got new bottles of the same flavor to make sure its not a storage issue. i have read others say that the flavor returns, but for me it just stays bland. I have many flavors that i enjoy, so i dont really want to find new flavors i just want to taste the ones i have.

Ideas for juice flavor loss causes:

1) Heat
2) Time (oxidation, mellowing, mixed flavors).
3) Your taste buds
4) The more you shake the bottle, the more air you mix in with it all the time.
5) Possibly light - sunlight in particular
6) .... mystery reasons here ....

Do your single flavor juices do this too (lemon, lime, ....)?

P.S. Many food products include <insert food preservative here> "to protect flavor" - ascorbic acid is common. Don't know how many are vapable tho, but it begs the question... Is flavor breakdown common? Combination flavors may be more prone to this, or maybe the reverse depending on the exact molecules involved.

The only thought was... increasing oxidation (part of #2). Basically makes it happen faster. So would heat.

Oh, that's true, but I think that if the juice is not oxidized in around a week, it should not be hurt by shaking before serving (refilling carts / dripping). Just a thought. I was intrigued because I thought you was talking about other different issue with flavor and shaking.

Do you think it's your taste buds or your eLiquid? I went to mix some flavorings the other day and I found they all went bland on me. I DIY and these were all from one flavoring company. Maybe that's the "brand" your supplier is using? I would like to hear if others are also finding this. I've read that the shelf life is anywhere from 6 months to a year but I only had mine for a few months.
