Flavors muted in Eleaf Melo? Kanger Subtank better?

I bought the Melo and it worked pretty well with my peppermint e-juices, so I bought another to keep a tank full of orange/ecto-cooler, which I have grown to love in my nautilus mini. But the taste is nothing close to what the mini delivers. I've tried everything from 15 watts to 35 watts on the Melo but it's not even close to the nautilus mini on flavor - the vapor is on another level completely of course. Any idea why Melo is so muted for me?

I watched/read several reviews claiming kanger's subtanks have great flavor with the 1.2 coils. So I was thinking about grabbing the Subtank Plus. I'm all but over the subohm hype, I like the vapor production the Melo gives, but I'm looking for something with both, possibly a compromise. I want large juice capacity, great flavor, decent but not crazy amounts of vapor.

I didn't like my melo at all so I rebuild the coil with nichrome 80 and organic cotton now I like it better than my subtanks

You can't go wrong with the Subtank Plus. It's extremely versatile and can even use the original coil heads from the Protank/Aertank series. I've never used the Melo but have you tried the new Atlantis OCC's. I'm pretty sure they'll work in you Melo with some minor adjustments.

Really?,,i had not heard that before and i did not see it mentioned on Kangers website

I received the FreeMax Starre tank on Friday, and can't believe how great the flavor is with this tank! It holds 5ml of juice, comes with a 0.5 and 0.25 coil. I realize you said you're done with sub ohm tanks, but if you're willing to give another one a try, this tank is really fantastic! Check out the YouTube reviews... nearly every reviewer says that the flavor from this tank, as well as vapor production is among the best, if not the best!

Also, people report that the coils last from 2 and a half to 3 weeks, and even longer! I've only been using my Starre tank since this past Friday, so I can't report on the longevity of the coils, but the tank really delivers great flavor with lots of air flow!

I was using the Melo coils in the Atlantis V1 and yes the flavor and taste of them was terrible. Have been using nothing other than the High Voltage tanks for the past months and I couldn't be happier. I got three of them now
