I'm having a hard time finding a flavor that I really like. So far everything it tasting too sweet to me and I normally love sweets. Just ask my sugar with my tea! lol I do not drink coffee...do not like the taste of coffee. I'm still wanting that analog taste. I use to smoke Sonoma full flavor which was similar to Marlboro. Any recommendations? I got the 7 Leaf Blend from ECBlends, but that is yuck. Is there a way to clean clearomisers out to be able to use a different flavor?

Vapenstein, a great reviewer and tobacco enthusiast, has been compiling a list of juices that give the same satisfaction as a cigarette (and maybe approach the flavor, although most agree that there is no juice that really captures the flavor of a cigarette). If you google Vapenstein Analog Replacement Sweepstakes, you will find the list, and clicking on a name will give you a nice thorough review.

I sometimes find that soaking them for awhile helps more, especially for thicker juices. Even after I rinse, I find if I soak them, even just for an hour or so, I will come back and see where juice has seeped out into the water.

There are some other great threads on here as well about cleaning cartos/attys/etc with tips and tricks (unfortunately I don't have any links at the moment), but I have even read about people using other liquids like vodka to soak or rinse and even mouthwash (to try and counteract a strong flavor). So I'm sure if you poke around a bit more you can find some really useful things to try.

Everything I have read essentially comes down to what jdsim1 posted above though for the most part: rinse/soak - dry burn. Just different variations on the details.

As for the juices, I don't know offhand a good sweet tobacco. I haven't been much into tobacco flavored juices, though my husband is, so most of them don't taste good to me.

P.S. If you don't like dealing with all that, some people buy unflavored juice and will use that to clear out a flavor as an alternative.

Sorry but I can't help with the clearomizer cleaning. I don't use them. However, I recommend getting a couple of atomizers for testing flavors with. They are simple to clean to switch flavors.

As for non-sweet tobacco's, my favorite is Dekang's Desert Ship, DK-Tab, and 3&5. A lot of vendors carry them...just do a google search for Dekang.

I have never found a tobacco flavor that I liked.....until today. Just taste tested 4 from Backwoods Brew, Adirondack, Virginia, Hunters blend and Menthol Tobacco (just to change things up a little). I think I'm in heaven!:vapor:

Backwoods is where a number of the flavors my husband likes are from. I don't know if you have tried them or if any of them will be for you mccrji, but they do seem to be popular and are a great company. We have tried the RY4, Casablanca, eJoker, Maple Tobacco, Malty, and Conundrum (a non tobacco flavor) from them (I think there was one more, but I can't recall it at the moment). If you have any questions on any of them, feel free to hit me up. =)

I second this! I'm a fan of Halo E-liquid. They have a good sample pack that gives you multiple flavors to try and they just released a Belgian Cocoa that is, to me, amazing. I can't put it down! Not sweet like most chocolate flavors.

Halo makes some very satisfying juices, and Vapenstein raves about them. The only issue is that many of them need a little time to "steep" before the flavors get to where they should be. This is generally the case with any premium tobacco juice, though. And I'm definitely in agreement about the Belgian Cocoa -- I'm actually vaping it right now!

Yep, Backwoods' tobaccos are awesome! I'm a big fan of three of the four above, but that's only because I haven't tried Adirondack yet. Casablanca, RY4 and eJoker, as JiNXed mentioned are fantastic tobacco flavors too, although sadly (if I'm not mistaken) RY4 and eJoker are discontinued. The only issue with Backwoods is the same that I mentioned in my last post -- they need time to steep in order to reach their peak, and to me, Casablanca is at the extreme end of this and takes a month before it turns into a good juice. So kmk, if you like those flavors now, just wait a while -- you'll be blown away!

I look at steeping my juice as a sign of freshness. When I get something new I always try atleast one fill without steeping and if I like it, I don't bother. Captain Jack and Tribeca are the two flavors from Halo that I really need to steep. What juices do you recommend Tez? I haven't ventured much outside of Halo products.

Heh, heh, some of those Halo flavors are almost putrid before they steep, but it's really amazing how they transform into great juices! I like to try juices right out of the mail too, to see if and how it will change. I think it's a great idea, plus I don't have the patience to order a new flavor and then not touch it.

I'll just stick to my tobacco vape recommendations in keeping with the spirit of this thread, and thanks for asking! And of course I'll add the obligatory "taste is subjective" and "these are my opinions" disclaimer. I'll omit Halo, since you've got some experience with them, and probably more experience than I have with them since I only found them recently.

My current favorite juice is Long Bottom Leaf from ePipemods, which is part of their Pipe Sauce line. I think this stuff is incredible, and there doesn't seem to be a lot of discussion of these yet. Pbusardo just put out a video review of all six flavors in the Pipe Sauce line, and I've been lighting up the threads trying to get more opinions about this stuff. It's just a really good, rich, and complex pipe tobacco. I can't put it down! The flavor is really hard to define but there's a nice creamy vanilla undertone, I think. I also have there Sweet Georgia Peach, which I also like a lot, although not quite as much as the LBL, but that shouldn't detract from the quality of SGP, since LBL is in a class of its own. While with most fruit/tobacco vapes I've tried the fruit usually mutes the tobacco practically into oblivion, the peach and tobacco are nicely blended so it doesn't taste like you're smoking while eating a peach -- it tastes like you're smoking a peach flavored pipe tobacco. The only drawback with ePipemods is that they only sell 30 mL bottles. This ended up not being a drawback for me, because I blew through 10 mL of each flavor pretty quickly. I think that offering sample sizes would greatly improve their sales, but I like this stuff so much that I'm gearing up to order 30 mL's of a couple other flavors when I reorder the other two.

I like several from Backwoods Brew, and most of them have been mentioned already. Of the juices that they still sell, I think Casablanca is probably the best, although I don't like having to wait so long for it to steep. I like the 555 Exotic a lot too, and Backo and Virginia are just great, straight-forward tobaccos. I don't really like their fruity tobaccos as much because I don't think they've captured that harmonious balance that ePipemods Sweet Georgia Peach has, but others like them well enough.

From Alien Visions, Boba's Bounty is a classic. I didn't want to like it so much, since it's probably the most discussed and most beloved juice out there (I'm always looking for the underdog), but I think I've ended up vaping more of this than any other juice. Their Gorilla Juice is interesting and pretty good, but their 555 is the one I go to when I'm looking for something that will satisfy me the way a cigarette used to. I don't think it really tastes like a cigarette, and frankly I'm not exactly sure why I love this juice so much, but it's always on stand-by for me. I think it's just the right combination between interesting flavor, solid throat hit, and tons of vapor.

I'm also a big fan of Want2Vape's tobacco extracts, particularly the Alcazar, Managua, and London. My only problem with them is they tend to cause my attys to die prematurely. These aren't clean-burning juices like Halo. They are down-and-dirty honest-to-God tobacco. It's the small organic solids from the tobacco extraction process that are difficult to filter out that clog up attys. These juices are sooooo good and authentic, though. Alcazar and Managua are so spot on that I feel like I am smoking a nice dark, rich cigar. The London is a dead-ringer for an English pipe tobacco, but it's not to everyone's liking since most people think of French aromatic tobacco when they think of pipes. I really like it, though, and it's a "special occasion" vape for me.

I could probably go on and I'm sure I've left out some important ones, but these are the tip-top of my list.

One company I am very curious about that I haven't tried is Goodejuice. They also extract tobacco, but apparently they've come up with a way to filter the solids out to the point where it's not such an atty killer. I like the idea of a juice that captures Want2Vape's magic, but doesn't wreak havoc on my hardware. Their prices look really good too, and the next order I place will likely be with them.

I had thought they were discontinued as well, but I just got my most recent ones ordered on 5/11, so I don't know if they brought them back or if that was the last of them.

I also figured out the other two flavors I forgot, which were Honey Flue Nut and 555 Exotic. One thing I will say about the 555 Exotic is that it is in my opinion very aromatic and strong in flavor. You can't really hide vaping that one lol. I actually love the scent of it myself, even though I don't like tobacco flavors.

Thank you for all of the suggestions! I see that I will be spending a lot more money to find that right flavor! lol What do you mean by dry burn after soaking??

Yah, for many people there's a little extra up-front cost in experimenting with different flavors. Most vendors sell small or sample-sized bottles; that cuts costs. I'm going to echo those who like Backwoods Brew (they're on vacation for about another week, unfortunately) and I have totally fallen in love with their Honey Flue (without the nut flavour added) tobacco flavor. Also their Espresso...even if you don't like coffee...it's NOT sweet at all, but very rich and smokey. The minute they open their site again I'm ordering a gallon. :)

I've "dry-burned" cleaned/boiled cartos in the oven for about an hour at 150-200 degrees, then left them in a dry area for about another 24 hours or so. However you do it, you need to let the wicking material dry out completely before refilling.

Sorry, I missed this post when i replied earlier.

Dry burning is a process where you fire your PV for a short amount of time to heat the coil and then release for a short amount of time to let it cool. The point is to heat the coil to slightly glowing off and on, and burn off residue that has gunked up.

The amount of time you hold and cool off period recommended I have noticed can vary, and I think can depend on teh device and voltage you are using. There are some excellent posts on the topic though if you search for "dry burning" and I have also seen some video tutorials floating around that walk you through it.

For me, I'm super patient when I do mine, and go about 1 second on, 2 seconds or so off, to ensure that I don't pop the coil by pushing it too hard (make sure you never point it at your face or look directly down at it). I will eventually get that orange glow at the edges and the blackened juice will start to turn grayish and then I can gently (very gently) scrape it off with a toothpick or give it another good rinse to get rid of it. That's just my method though, and I'm by no means a veteran hehe.
