I just wanted to know what juice people are vaping on, and even if you use 100%VG, is the flavour still fairly strong? Since PG is considered the flavour carrier, does 100%VG still carry much flavour?

VG itself is sweet-ish, PG is flavorless - generally speaking, flavors dissolve easier in PG and many many more flavorings are available in a PG base. There is also the matter of shelf life consistency in PG flavors vs VG.

(Also generally) The higher the VG, the more muted the flavors are. Steeping, slightly warming and shaking, etc. all help flavor with VG.

I tend to stay at 30/70 PG/VG when flavor is my concern but some people get no flavor unless they are at 50/50 or 60/40. Cheers, -Ali

VG almost without any taste (quite sweet), and PG gets a throat hit. Thats the main difference.

So, cloud chasers use 100% VG liquids, and to feeling similar to smoking people use more VG-based e-liquids.

It's my newbie observation. Veterans, please correct me if, I'm wrong.

PG is more responsible for throat hit, yes, .. but I've seen the opposite in smokers, most I know prefer the PG because it's closer to analogs and the clouds actually bother them on inhale from high VG.

Shelf life - PG AFAIK .. -Mags

PG does increase throat hit, and it also carries flavor a bit better. Also, it will gunk up an atomizer much more slowly than running higher VG juices, especially in a tank. There are some VG juices out there that are so viscous they are made only for dripping. The higher the PG, the more quickly it burns through an atomizer, which also helps with flavor delivery. Some ejuice makers are giving the option of adding extra flavor shots to higher VG juices for tank use, because there tends to be some flavor loss the lower the PG level particularly in a tank. Also, lower nicotine level affects the flavor. So if you're vaping a 12mg 80/20 VG/PG juice it's going to have a more pronounced flavor than if you were vaping that same juice, on the same set-up, at 3mg or 0mg.

Set up also plays a roll. How many watts you're vaping at. What sort of tanks and coils you're using. All that that contributes to flavor profiles and how pronounced a flavor is. Now there are some higher VG juices that even using a lower wattage device (like my 20w iStick) in a tank there is a tremendous amount of flavor. Cuttwood makes 70/30 VG/PG and while they tend to gunk up my atty really quick, there is a ton of flavor. My personal favorite brand, at the moment, is Lost Art. Their's are 60/40 and just right, in my humble opinion. And the flavor? Good lordsy!

I personally run readymade/mixkit 50/50 but I started mixing my own Max VG liquids recently as I bought a liter of VG with a friend from a store near me.

I use SKA Liquids flavorings, specifically smooth death and moonis, moonis works really well with 10% mixing instead of recommended 20% in VG, flavor is good and strong enough for me

Although I usually get more flavor from high PG juices, I prefer max VG or at least 70/30 VG/PG because I just like the way it vapes. I like big clouds wiith good flavor, and PG just gives too much of a throat hit for me. I've come across a whole lot of juice lines that are max VG and very bland, dull flavor, but I've also found plenty of max VG lines that give me good smooth exhales and still have a bursting flavor to them.
