Hello,

I've been wondering about the impact on taste from dripping, tanks etc.

It seems that a lot of people say that dripping has the cleanest flavour. But when I look at a tank like the pro tank, I can't seem to understand why the flavour it provides would be less clean. So I'm wondering whether there actually is a difference. Assuming you have the same coil setup, voltage, battery and air flow - wouldn't the flavour be the same if dripped or via a protank? I'm assuming the protank is new and there's nothing related to changing flavours.

With any tank/clearo you are filling it with liquid then allowing it to absorb into a wick or carto filler then hit the heater coil. With dripping you are dripping straight liquid directly onto your coil. Removing the middle man per se.

I'm still not even clear what dripping is. Are you saying the coil isn't wrapped around a wick? that the juice is dripped right onto a coil, with no wick?

A couple days ago I finally got a rebuildable dripping atty (RDA) to work correctly. Big difference. Huge. Gobsmacked.
Yes, there is a wick but the air flows directly over the coil with your liquid on it. I won't give up the clearos and tanks yet, they're just too convenient and dripping isn't really.

Couldn't have said it better myself... When dripping you are not filling up a whole tank or cart... Just a few drops at a time onto whatever you are using with the coils.

That's a very good question and I am not sure there is a definitive answer. There are some differences though. One difference between a RDA and a BCC is certainly the size of the air chamber that they sit in. A second difference is that with a RDA, the operator chooses and controls the amount of liquid applied one drop at a time vs defaulting to the wicking or channel/wicking action of the particular BCC and chasing that with wattage adjustments to get the desired flavor. I can tell you, the flavor from dripping is substantially superior to anything else I've tried.
