E-juice all taste bland

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and new to vaping. Been vaping for almost 2 months now and haven't had a cigarette in that time so I'm happy about that.

So recently all my juice taste the same and have no flavour. I just bought one hit wonder mini muffin man and police man. Decided to try the high VG after using 50/50 for the first little bit. I was vaping the mini muffin man and the flavour was fantastic! Excellent amount of strawberry and muffin. Then the next day there was next to no flavour. I changed my coil, cleaned my tank, tried a different juice and same thing. Tried my white hot chocolate since it has a strong peppermint taste and all I got was a faint taste of mint, nothing else. My setup is the kbox mini with the protank 4 and a 1.5 coil.

Vapers tongue? It happens and is referred to as that. Your ability to taste a flavor seems to go away. There are dozens of "proven" treatments to restore your ability to taste again from eating a pickle while riding a unicycle to gargling with coffee grounds (OK, they're really not that bad, but they're not much better, either).

The cause is unknown. It's probably just our taste buds getting desensitized to the flavorings. You can change to another flavor for a while (if you can taste it, which in your case was a bust), or simply wait it out, as it goes away all by itself. If the juice is good and the coil is good, you just need some patience.

Or maybe sucking on a lemon (I've read that one here too).

Agree with @Eskie When I first started vaping and it happened to me I think I also made mention of it here in the forums when I was a new member. It will go away and you'll get your taste back. We are all different so don't get to frustrated as many of us go through this. I still get it time to time, but not as bad as the first time. Hang in there.

Hmm never heard of vapors tongue, I'll have to look that up. I switched to my coconut banana for now and it seems to be a little stronger, not it's full flavour but at least I'm still getting the nicotine. Guess I'll just have to ride this out. Thanks for the help guys!

That's a good idea except I used up all my flavours I didn't like the last time I was sick cause my taste buds were off. I don't really like to waste juice.
It's been 4 days so hopefully not much longer

My sense of taste was a bit longer and I say that just as a consideration. I like to use the apple pie analogy. As in I tasted just cinnamon at first, then later I noticed the cinnamon and apple, but the crust was even longer. Complex flavors can be indistinct and lack definition.

Also, just taste buds getting bored. I vape 2-4 flavors a day for that reason. Also, PG is more of a flavor carrier than VG...and equipment. Takes time to get to know equipment and building.

Could be several things. Also, some juices are made to order so they need to steep after buying. I always bought ahead of need so I wouldn't get to them for a bit.

I couldn't imagine the same flavor all day every day. My taste buds would be in rebellion..

Fruities, shake & vape.
Custards, cremes, liquor can take weeks, try out every few days.

It's not so much money. I currently have 4 180ml bottles of juice on my shelf. I find it a hassle. I only have my protank 4. I don't use my subtank cause I don't like the bottom fill. I find it a pain at work to have to clean my tank out every time I want to switch flavours. That's why I just switch flavours at the end of the day

Yes, the fruits, by themselves, are the quickest. But, if a custard or cream is a part of the juice, then some steeping is good.

For me, I just bought ahead of time and let sit in a dark place until I got around to them. It didn't matter the flavor, each juice stayed with its purchase group.

Steeping is like wine in a wine cellar, being there extra time is not bad.

Also, shake the bottle before loading a tank.

Some juices have small amounts of alcohol in the flavoring. The vendor should indicate that. If that is the case, take the bottle cap and tip off and let the alcohol evaporate out for 24 hours. Shaking 3-4 times during the period.

Don't forget to wet the wick good when using a fresh wick.

I just said things in general, but, things should be better.

In my thinking, it is hard to have a single tank that gives excellent flavor and excellent clouds. The same tank/juice does one or the other better. Doesn't mean that you can't have one brand of tank and juice mix for flavor and another for clouds.

Honestly I'm not really one for cloud chasing. I use a 1.5 coil as I like the MTL. Reminds me of when I smoked and so far my setup has done the job and kept me off the analogs. The protank has given me a nice amount of flavour, well up until a couple days ago, but that's just me as my brother tried it and said it tasted great. I clean my tank every night and switch flavours for the next day

Welcome and glad you joined. Nothing wrong about your setup.

To help establishing your taste again, Bits of croissant followed by a mouthful of distilled water, then spit out after swishing is said to refresh the pallet. Bread absorbs flavors, saltines can be used to stimulate taste buds back to normal. Malt vinegar mouthwash id said to clean the palate, then vape right away.
Lots to be said about change up flavors. I use deep well RFA's, inexpensive and lots of flavor.
