This is by far the best tobacco vape I've tried to date :D

I made up a small 5ml batch:

Max VG
12mg
7 Leafs - 4%

Give it a quick try in my dripper, loved it and immediately mixed up a 30ml batch lol.

I've vaped the 5ml test batch and it's certainly seems vapeable. I know I should wait for this to steep, but I can't put it down haha :)

What are your thoughts on 7 Leafs? Is there anything else I can add to this to give it some more life? Or should I just wait for it to steep? :p

Cheers,

Randall :vapor:

Yeah, I'm a fan of 7 Leaves. It's a great base flavor for other tobaccos, too. Yesterday I mixed up my first batch of tobacco Symphony by Inawera, and I'm really liking it. I think it would pair well with 7 Leaves. I'll probably whip up a batch of the two paired together in a little bit. Tobacco Symphony is sweet and nutty, and I think it'll be a great complement to 7 Leaves.

Yes, 7 Leaves is great by my estimation. I prefer it straight up as any blends that I attempted with it seem to tame the stronger notes in 7L's that I thoroughly enjoy.

I like that peppery kick to it. I am assuming that is the black perique (?). I think it is fantastic.

I've never tried black perique so I can't really comment on that, but there's definitely a peppery taste.

Also, is that Desert Ship I'm tasting too? Can't quite put my finger on it lol

7 Leaves have always been one of my favorites - I get strong licorice notes. I've used it a lot in blends, along with another favorite of mine: Shade

I have a mix called "7 Marlshade III", which I *love*. Here is a link to the recipe here! Ignore the broken links in the post there - Apparently ECF don't want people to use my site.

I might try and add a small amount of Dark Cherry and see how that goes. I used to smoke cherry flavoured tobacco years ago.

I've been out of 7 leaves for a while now and I'm definitely going to pick some up my next order. I liked it stand a lone and as a mixer.

Adding some Dark Cherry sounds delicious. Let us know how it goes. I recently mixed some Inawera Vanilla for Pipe and Cherry and really liked it.

I am a big fan of FA 7 Leaves. I think it has more tobacco taste than most flavors.

I've never considered it "peppery", but I can see that for sure. I often describe it as potentially "acrid" at higher levels. Similar concept, just a term I use because I don't detect a real pepper taste so much as definitely a burn kinda of at the end. I don't use it as a "primary" for that reason, although if you like that it would be an excellent choice. I do use it in almost everything I mix as a tobacco booster and to add some kick.

Anything around 2% no problem. Get a lot higher than that and I would suggest unless you really like that kind of flavor, (and clearly some people do, which is cool too) you'll need to be mixing something either fairly sweet or with some other prominent flavor that cools it off a little.

I lean on the strong end flavor wise, so there are no tobacco flavors I've tried that I did not find some kind of issue with at higher levels, and none at the levels I mix that are suitable to make a single entity (excluding a little caramel etc) mix. I've also used Shade a lot in blends, but have kinda lost interest in it. FA Burley is also useful in multi-tobacco blends.

As Just1Fixx (a little Ministry reference there? :) ) noted, blending does mute some of the taste notes. I blend tobaccos because I just can't get any single flavor that is suitable at the roughly 8-10% level I want. Blending tobaccos is a tedious endeavor because it always results in muting individual flavors, you have to spend a lot of time and effort to get high percentages at ratios you like
.
That should not be viewed as a criticism, just my own personal opinion on tastes. In fact if someone said "tobacco" without thinking the first thing I would say would be "FA7 Leaves". It is definitely a must have for any tobacco lover...

Vanilla for Pipe is another good Tobacco from Inawera, not sweet, rather dry with a moderate touch of vanilla. I mixed it at 5%, and added 1% EM to it . Perfectly an adv, specially for vapers that like tobacco flavors and don't care much for sweetness.

It turns out that I had no Dark Cherry left and I didn't want to give it a try with just standard FA Cherry(not a fan). Anyways, I've just placed another order for some more Dark Cherry, so once it arrives I'll let you know about it.

I did end up making another 60ml of 7 Leafs this morning - love this stuff :D

I recently picked this one up. I find it a bit floral and aromatic by itself at 2%, but I am liking it mixed with Hangsen RY1, as I find that rounds it out for my taste by adding some of the "lower/warm" notes, if that makes any sense. I haven't nailed down a ratio for that mixture wet, but it is something like 1-2% 7L and 5-7% RY!.

The last four ml of my 7 leaves went toward 'rescuing' some Hangsen flavors lol. :vapor:
