I am new to DIY and bought 6 FlavouArt flavorings. Out of them, 3 have a very strong pine flavor to them, especially CamTel (7%); the others are Black Fire (7%) and Dark Vapure (10%). They have been steeping 4 days. Will that taste subside any with more steeping? At this point it makes them all taste too similar. At least with BF I taste the smokey flavor, I can't taste the cocoa or other flavors in Dark Vapure. On a side note, those all came from ECX, the others came from Libert-Flights. Thanks!

I have a tobacco mix that I steep for ten days, minimum, before it tastes "right". I'll also say that dropping percentages significantly and working up, not down, will help. It's always easy to add a little more of a flavor, but once it's in the mix, there ain't no goin back.

Oh yes, I started at 5% for all, then after 3 days up'd em to what they are now. Just those 3 have a very distinctive pine aroma. That was actually the first thing I noticed when I opened them. MTS seemed to help a bit, almost too much though (1 drop for ea 5ml). Anyone wanna trade 9.5ml Camtel for 9.5ml VZ French Pipe? LOL VZFP Rocks!

I don't know the Camtel. But Black Fire i make @ 5% and Dark Vapure @ 6%. Anything higher doesn't taste right to me. Both are in PG/VG/Nic 70/30/11.
I steep them for at least 2 weeks (via Ultrasonic Cleaner).

Thanks Vappa! I seem to prefer Burley & Latakia the best. I'm going to sell the others in Classies (Black Fire, Dark Vapure, Cuban Supreme, and Cam T) along with some LorAnn flavorings. I need to stick with the basics. Of all the concentrates I have found i fell in love with VZ French Pipe @ 8%, 18mg, 70vg/30pg.

I don't use tobacco flavorings, but I think you are mixing them WAY too strong. My understanding is to start at 1~2%, and work up from there. Many tobacco flavorings also need to steep for about 2 weeks, and up to a month.

The flavorings are probably a little too high as mentioned and some FA tobaccos take a good month to develop. They have earthy, floral or hayish smells---not quite sure what you mean by pine. The exception is Black Fire which should smell kinda like a campire with a little bacon...lol Anyways, people either like FA tobaccos or they do not. I hope they get better for you with lower percent.

Thanks Shilo. I have noticed some mellowing as the days progress. The pine is prob the hayish smell, just has a pine (like Christmas tree) smell to me. I noticed the Latakia, Burley, & Cuban started a bit peppery, but that is becoming more subdued. I guess compared to others, FA just takes more time to develop. i was also blessed with ultra sensitive senses of smell and taste buds ...

camtel is the best but needs longer steeping time i used to steep it on my desk for 2 3 weeks
dark vapoure i use it with other flavor to give crisp feeling in the liquid but you are write it just light on flavor when vapin it alone
black fire is just smoked salmon nothing more

all i used at around 15 % to 20 % starting with 10 % then after week i test it and add more when needed

Yep, I actually started all at 7.5% or less, then did 3-day taste tests to add. We apparently have close to the same tastes. Well, keep an eye on the classies for those 3 flavors and around 10 drams or LorAnns, all barely touched.
