Dark Vapure (like some of the other stronger FA tobaccos - like Perique and Black Fire) is a "go easy, or barf" vape to us! .5% as a 'stand alone' is MORE than plenty! And the absolute limit (for us) in a mix is around 2%...and that's if there's some ultra heavy flavors to soften and smother 'em - like thick creams, marshmallow, etc.

But man, when a vape wants those bad boys, it'll be 'empty & blah' without 'em.

So if you tried them alone at any more than .5%, you might wanna revisit them one day - "just to make sure".

Dark vapure nearly blew my head off at 7%. That's where I usually start my tobaccos. I won't do that again:)

My results are in! I bought two flavors: Virginia and 7 Leaves. I mixed single-flavor samples at 2%.

I tried 7 Leaves first. It smelled milder, and I'm looking for mild. It's a complex, light tobacco blend. I can detect a bit of sweetness and some possible clove and/or anise in there. (But I can detect clove and anise a mile away, so others may not get that.) I don't generally like those flavors, but it's so subtle that I don't object. I do NOT like pipe or cigar tastes at all, and I didn't taste any of that in here. 7 Leaves reminds me of a popular Venezuelan cigarette brand I smoked many years ago. I'm sorry I don't recall the name! I think aging may mellow that anise I detect, and make this flavor even better.

The smell of Virginia when I opened the flavoring bottle made me a little nervous. It smells like light, fresh pipe tobacco to me. In fact it smells more like tobacco leaves than anything I've smelled other than actual tobacco! My best description of the flavor: if you took the caramel/vanilla/foodtaste out of TFA's RY4 Double, and left only the smokiness that RY4D gives, you'd get FA's Virginia flavor. The taste is not as pipe-like as the smell of the raw flavoring (whew!). While I can't say it tastes identical to any cigarette that I'VE smoked, I could *definitely* believe there's a cig out there with this flavor. There is no doubt you're vaping a tobacco flavor. Virginia is richer and more full-bodied than 7 Leaves, with fewer competing other flavor notes, and no food taste to me. The more I vape Virginia, the better it tastes - and it's pretty darned good to begin with. At 2% the intensity is like a "king" cigarette, as opposed to a "light". 1.5% is closer to the light cigs I used to smoke.

I'm relieved both taste more like a cig than pipe or cigar. If you're looking for cig-flavor vape, these are both a great start, but keep reading.

My favorite mix so far was in a cartomizer. 5 drops of mixed (at 2%) 7-Leaves, 2 drops of mixed (also at 2%) Virginia, and the tiniest drop I could manage of premixed (at 5%) FA Honey. Repeat until cartomizer is full. VERY GOOD! I made a sample-sized bottle of this mix, combining my single-flavor bottles in that ratio. Now that it has sat for a few days, it's EXCELLENT! The Honey just takes off the bitter edge for me, but a too-large drop makes a honey-tobacco flavor. When I want a cig-like vape, this will definitely satisfy. I'll still use TFA's RY4 Double when I want a sweeter caramel taste. HEY - I should try some combos with that!

Thanks to everyone who made flavor suggestions! I might try a couple more next time I order, just out of curiosity.
