I'm encountering some interesting problems with the new Fluxos.

3 boxes into them, the wicks don't hold up for s***. I get a couple cleanings out of them before the wicks completely fall apart. Most of the time, the wicks are already fraying up near the coil right out of the pack. I didn't have this problem with the old CE2s and the looped wicks. Most of those lasted me several months to a year each.

Usually, I notice the coil has 5-6 wraps but I just opened one up (when the wick fell to pieces after cleaning--it was a week old) and it has 4 wraps, with 2 lighting. And every last one has had something that needed to be burned off before use.

I thought (according to a post here somewhere) that Micro-Cig had special quality control for the Fluxos as opposed to the Clearos they ship out to other vendors, making the Fluxo the superior product? I'm seeing no difference between Fluxos I bought from Gotvapes and Clearos I bought from another vendor.

Two of mine fresh out the same pack had bottom seals that were installed improperly, leading to loose stems cocked to the side. I didn't bother filling these as it was obvious they would leak. Although the seals themselves were good, I couldn't install them properly. I'm holding on to these until I happen to get the right tweezers or something, and I'm not complaining since overall, they work for me.

I havent used fluxs yet.
But i love clearomizers and have used many different ones and have found some last for months and even allowed me to twist and move the wicks to allow me to move white wick to the coil area.. then other have had the wicks come off when i pull the tube off.. lemme tell ya i was ...... at first,, then I found on those if I only left the wick in the coil, it still worked if i tipped the ego every now and then. so at least i could use it for awhile longer.

You'll get varied quality performance on any carto. The Fluxomizers generally are one of th emost consistent so when there is a 'run' in a box or so of 'premature death' (comapred to what we are normally used to), it stands out more.

Myself I do not clean them anymore. I will use a Fluxomizer for around a week and then pitch it as the time/benefit /cost ratio doesn't add up for me at the moment (and thats just not because I pay a wholesaler amount for my supply). I am very please with both the overall quality of the Flux and Vision lines...

I've also had the wick break off on 2 out of my box. It's funny I switch the tubes over to my old fluxos that have been kicking it from the cracked tube days and they vape like a champ. Seems the re-engineering was un-warranted. Just use the new tubes on the old fluxos and the could have saved themselves some developing time/money.

IDK GPS done gone'n broke
Been getting a lot of solder gunk (that stuff you gotta burn off) on the last few boxes I've ordered. Hopefully the next restock won't be as bad.

How would you describe the taste??? My last box (purple xl's) 2 of the 5 I have tried both have an odd taste, so far burning wicks and vodka baths do not remedy.... would like to know just what I am inhaling and possible remedies.....

Do not throw away the ones with the frayed or broken wicks. Cut off the wicks at the frayed place then you have an awesome atomizer for a couple of dollars. Works great.

So - what do you do with them? Drip?

I haven't had any problems with wicks falling off yet... I have a few with the slightly frayed ones, but not catastrophically so. I do have a couple that won't wick no matter what I do with them though. If I can use them for a dripping atty, that would be great. I only have three attys for dripping, and two of them are 4 years old (!). The other one is new, but it just doesn't work right, never has (should teach me not to buy the cheapest stuff).

For those of us who switch our flavors around, cleaning isn't an option. Fluxos are amazing little cartos. I am still using a couple, that I purchased months ago. I will clean them, and set them aside for when I create a new juice flavor.

That being said, I have had 2 new ones just die on me (3.5ohm). Both were only used a few days. I decided to clean one, only because it wasn't vaping very well. I took the tube off, cleaned it, and let it dry. When I went to dry burn, I use a Riva 510 to dry burn, only 1 piece of the coil was still getting red. It died very quickly. I decided to pull out my other Fluxo, and use it. It aslo wasn't vaping very well. I went to clean it, and it had the same issue.

Now, I am a HUGE fan of the Fluxo. There are a few of us, in other forums, battling the tank lovers. So, this is no way a bash on them, and I still love them. But, the latest ones are not at the same level as the older ones. Hopefully, the next batch will be better.

Oh, and DON'T EVER stop selling them! Oh yes, I will use caps... and exclamation marks for that. Don't make me use any more caps or exclamation marks. My keyboard may be little, but those keys work well.:blink::blink:

Yep. I use them for dripping instead of the $6 atty. I know what you are saying on the quality of this last batch. I bought 4 boxes (stocking up) and so far have had one fail in the first week. The wicks on 2 were frayed from the start and there are only 4 wraps on the coil. I hate to send money to China but if the next batch is the same low quality, price will have to be reduced or I will have to look elsewhere.

Well, I checked my latest batch of Fluxos (two weeks old, I think), and they seem fine. No fraying, five wraps on the coil. I'm waiting on another shipment. I guess I'm hoping the problems you guys are experiencing are a fluke...

No matter what kind of QA your company has, these things are going to happen. It's more about how you take care of these issues, when they happen. Dan and Chris have always taken care of me, so a few lower quality Fluxos don't really bother me.

Me neither, not really. I trust that they'll take care of it, if there is a problem. It's just a pain to them and us both if QA in China slips. Would be so much easier if the factory was here - I know, I know, we wouldn't be able to afford it then.
