Ever have a problem securing your roll of kanthal wire when you've snipped off a bit to make a coil? It gets all kinked up and funky, or you waste precious time and attention retightening the whole mess. If you use a piece of tape to capture the free end, the tape becomes demonically possessed and sticks to itself and everything else, or won't come off short of picking at it.
Enter the common (these days) everyday velcro cable tie. The right width to fit snugly over the wire on your kanthal spool, the right length to overlap and stay with itself, right out of the package. I found these at the Tractor Supply in their cable tie area, but have also seen them in a rainbow color package at walmart (in the sewing section next to the elastic and velcro stuff). Runs around 5-6 bucks for a package of 6.
Here ya go...took a pic of mine all tucked in after implementing the concept this afternoon.
