I created a simple, foldable pamphlet for handing out to people locally, so I thought I'd share it with you guys. I borrowed the e-cig description from electronic-cigz.com (hope you don't mind!), because I thought it described it better than I could. I added info about the forum and gave links to two good suppliers for the M401 and 501 - electronic-cigz and happyvaper.

Let me know if you think I should add or change something. And do print it out and pass it around if you want. That would be cool. :)

Here's the link to the PDF (update #4 - Added vapesmart.com to dealers!):

PS: I am not a designer, so I know it's not impressive.

Looks pretty good but if you have to go with only 2 Canadian suppliers, then Vapesmart and Happy Vapor would probably be the best two in terms of popularity, value and price. The 2 you selected don't even sell the 901 or the 801...two extremely popular models.

I'd probably stay away from recommending specific suppliers at all since its far too subjective and the top dogs can change quickly in this market.

i agree 100%.

6 months ago, i blogged about epuffer saying they were "the best" when really, they weren't at all...

smokestik had retail products 5 months ago in the toronto ontario market.
the health canada warning kicked those off the shelves very quickly.

My reason behind including a list of dealers was to point people in the right direction. I figured that some impulse buyers might otherwise just type "electronic cigarettes" into Google and end up purchasing something from Smoking Everywhere or another company and end up with a bad experience. The 401 and 510, I think, are two models that should provide a good introduction to vaping, and those two dealers are, in my opinion, reputable. I can always alter the list if things should change.

I'll think further about your suggestions, though. :D

@Key:
PM me if you do web design. I have a friend who needs some help.
The last time I worked on a web site was around 2000, hand-coded HTML, most of which I've forgot. I wouldn't know where to start today, but I'd have a lot of learning to do! :(

@mlady:
why not put up ALL the canadian suppliers? did you say somewhere on your pamphlet that canadians should only buy from canadian suppliers?
Yup, I recommended that.

@everybody else:

Thanks for your nice comments. I'd like to say it took me a long time to make, but it only took the better part of an evening, mostly trying to figure out all the fiddly bits in OpenOffice.

Those are all good ideas. I may re-write the description, since I did borrow it from electronic-cigz.com. :D It was originally a personal thing, though why re-invent the wheel? It's been a difficult few days, so I don't feel like doing anything right now. If anybody wants to make their own version, here's the file in OpenDocument Format, which I created in OpenOffice. It should load in Word, too.*
