I fly what I would consider to be a lot, twice a month. This May seem like a little to some of you, all a matter of perspective. And I am very new to vaping. I just bought a mech mod with a kanger tank and now I'll have to fly home with it in a couple of Weeks.

What I'm looking for is advice on flying with a PV. Funny related stories, tips, tricks and what have you.

I've also ebayd an otterbox 3000 case and some pick and pluck foam to my house, which I plan to turn into a nice travel case for my bits and bobs.

Any concerns with security? (hey, is that a detonator?) Or problems with wonky preasures making tanks and bottles leak?

Thanks in advance for your input here.

I've flown a few times with my Provari and protank. Never had a problem with security, have been asked what it was but that's all. I take one 30 mil bottle, 2/3 full and have the tank 2/3 or less when I board, just to be sure it won't have a problem and, of course keep the PV and juice in your carry on - the cabin is pressurized, the cargo hold is not.

Of course do not vape when other electronic devices are not allowed to be in use and, do ask a cabin steward if you can vape in flight. If they say no, then don't do it - even if you were allowed to on another flight with the same airline. Take some snus if you need a nic hit in flight and can't vape.

I am travelling nearly all year long for work. My device of choice when I travel is my REO Grand. I've never had issue @ security. I take the battery out and place it in my carry on. I put my bottles of juice in the little tray along with my travel shampoos, gel etc. Vaping is banned on commercial flights. Do not do it. As for leaking...You do not want any tanks full. I've had leaking many times. Nothing too too bad but full carto tanks, clearos etc are at risk of leaking a little when in flight.

My advice is to always put your vaping devices in the bin with your shoes.
Leaving them in your carry-on is an invitation for delay, as they may pull your bag to see what it in there.

I've flown with both box mods and tube mods with no problems.
Well, except for the one time I forgot to put my stuff in the bin with my shoes.

I fly almost weekly for work and always bring my gear with me. So far, have never even been asked about it.

I have a small otterbox that I keep atty's, clearos or anything else that might be juicy in - that goes in my laptop bag. My ego's and ego charger get slid into the pockets on my laptop bag. I stuff my IMR batts into rolled up socks (1 per sock - so they won't touch anything metal) and put them, thier charger, my mech mod, my plastic box with wick and wire - and whatever else into my carry-on bag with my clothes.

The liquid I put in the ziplock with my shampoo, etc. I usually bring 1 or 2 30ml bottles and a 50ml bottle. Always DIY juice with no labels. There's no limit to what you can bring except the individual bottles must be less than 3oz each and have to fit in 1 quart-size ziplock bag.

I'm going to be flying for vacation soon and was considering erring on the side of not bringing any of my equipment and just get by on some disposables when i get to my destination but plenty of people seem to have done fine that maybe i'll chance it with a couple of cheaper items. have to drive a few hours to the airport so if i cant take it i'll probably have to toss whatever they won't let me bring on board if they give me a hard time.

I have never in my four years on this forum seen any vaping equipment confiscated.
It really is not a concern, and in fact a lot of TSA folks vape.
