Have any of you been questioned about bringing a PV on board a plane?

I carry on quite a bit and I imagine the juice is ok since a 15ml bottle is well under 3oz and would last me a week. However, a tube type pv looks weird I imagine through a screen?

Also, have any of you vaped in the bathroom? I can't imagine the smoke detector would go off since it's vapor.

Thanks in advance for taking the time to inform the newbie

The vapor could set off the smoke detector, but it probably wont. If you hold the vapor in for a few seconds before exhaling and exhaling downward and not onto the smoke detector sensor, there is very little chance given how fast the vapor dissipates. The most common smoke detectors work by ionizing oxygen and nitrogen (air) between two plates and measuring the current flow between those two plates. When particles enter the air in between the plates, they interact with the ionized particles there and causes a drop in current, setting off the detector. The bottom line is that it's less about smoke vs vapor and more about keeping the vapor out of the smoke detector.

Put your gear in your carry on. If you get asked about it, take it apart and show it to security. If you're concerned about having a craving on a long flight, get your pv ready in the terminal and put it in your pocket. I wouldn't hide what you're doing. If you are then you're drawing negative attention to yourself because the act of hiding what you're doing implies you think you're doing something wrong. If you feel more comfortable in the bathroom than in your row, fine. You're not going to be arrested and you're not going to be asked to get off and they aren't going to turn the plane around because of you. Just be nice and don't act like you're trying to make fools of them by 'getting away with it'.

Never had a problem with my pv and airports....or airplanes for that matter......just make sure you r very discrete in the lavatory and use 100% pg if available I would never advise holding anything in the lungs longer than necessary....damages the tissue and causes full absortion of inhalant........ if I'm not mistaken...please correct me if I'm wrong....
