FNG here with a few questions

well , first a big thanks to this site , op's , admins and contributors
if I hadn't stumbled across these forums , Surely I would have wasted a fortune already and been taken advantage of fully

I have been home sick with the flu since monday of this week and with bronchial complications , from smoking 20+ years I'm sure

I seen an add while thumbing through craigslist for some company named greensmoke or something similar about an e-cig , never even heard of such thing and I'm a real up to date with the latest gadgets etc usually this one just slipped by

so i googled " everthing u need to know about ecig's" and this forum was one the top results , lucky me ..Ive been reading for three days straight through the forums learning as much as i can

so i have some questions about giving vapor a try before I make any orders

first of all I am 34 ys old been smoking 20 + years , I smoke around 30-35 cigs a day , maybe as much as 45 if on a drinking binge, my preffered ciggarette is marlboro lights menthol , or doral menthol lights , or camel menthol lights

been hopping around on brand's due to the fact of looking for deals using coupons , as here in Florida we now have the prices as high as our northern consumers have had to pay for a while ( 5-6 usd a pack )

after reading one concern I have is : I'm worried that I will become addicted to more nicotine on a daily basis than with conventional ciggarettes , being that these devices seem capable of delivering more than a conventional ciggarette ...and I have a an addictive personality


and a big concern for me is that , the first hit I take from my first device ..I would like to taste and simulate as close to as possible as what I am acustomed to

also $ is a big factor for me right now as need to keep it low budget as possible

so here is some questions about the route I am considering :

device: from what it sounds like the joye510 starter kit would be a good choice for me , for my budget and what I am used to recieving as far as a throat hit is concerned , I will most likely be modding one into a nicostick for heavier use around the house , and I will need a normal looking device in public to smoke so that I dont attract hippies or police attention

how many batteries do you think i will require a day to vape the equivalant of 30- 40 cigs , if i dont have ppc ? or access to a power supply to charge


catridges : how many prefilled ( i would prefer to buy empty's and top them off myself ) would one need filled for some one used to smoking at my rate
of cigs a day ?


and also liquid :?

what strength would you reccomend 24 mg ?

again i need to find something as close to a menthol ciggarette i can find ..saw the nuport stuff , but if it tastes like a real newport no thanks (really love the taste of tobacco and menthol )
any recomendation on store and flavor ?
maybe combining two liquids or other concoction like the menthol crystals mentioned?....and if i like it will need to be able to buy it bigger quanities than 10 ml at a time


also if u wouldnt mine , reccomend me a reliable store for a joye510 that has is it instock with fair rates inc s/h

Batteries needed without the PCC? Alot (10-20) Just get the PCC it's cool and work great for the price of 2 batts.

At first you will vape all the time to get yourself off cigarettes so get a lot of juice. Get some menthols but also try RY4 and some fruity flavors.

Carts Needed per day?- the 510 uses a lot of juice- you will be topping off your cart often- dosen't matter how many you bring

24 mg is good to start with

Also new to vaping. Started with the Greensmoke, not enough vapor, poor battery, poor QC on cartridges and expensive to use. Took advice from this forum and got the 510, PCC. Ordered mine from Innovapor. Really love it. Had been 2+pack analog for 30+ yrs. Don't miss them at all. Currently using the 6mg PG e-liquid rom Nuvape in various flavors. Have to be careful and not vape to hard and steady or I get nicotine pulse rush and headache. Just use the cartridges that came with the 510. They were prefilled with ECOpure - didn't like it so took the poly fiber out of the cartridges, washed in hot water, dried with paper towel very well and refilled with Nuvape e-liq. I did find it necessary to use drip method on the atty in the beginning to help get rid of that nasty factory taste of burning rubber.
Since you are new to vaping you might want to order samples of e-liq in various flavors and strengths. Batteries - I've been find with just the two that came with the starter pack. My kit didn't have an AC adapter so I have to recharge my batteries and/or PCC on the computer. Suppliers: Call the various ones that offer their phone numbers and check for deals, ETAs. Some have really great coupon discounts.
IMO vaping is better than smoking - more enjoyable but it doesn't feel and taste the exact same way. I haven't found any e-lig. that taste exactly like a cigarette but I don't seem to care. There are enough flavors available that I'm sure you will find something you like.

I would tell you to go ahead and purchase the 510 with the PCC. If everything is fully charged when you start the day, you should be fine. However, if you just rely on the batteries, you're gonna need 4-6 of them to last you the day. Therefore, the PCC is more cost effective and allows you to carry less gear. As for cartridges, I would guess you would need 6+ to last you....maybe even more...the 510 burns through liquid pretty fast....you'd be better off just carrying a small bottle of e-liquid and a few carts with you and just fill as you need (plus that way, you can confirm how many carts it would take you to last a day).

This is not the case - Each hit from an e-cig actually delivers only about 10% of the nicotine you get from a hit of a tobacco cig - Has to do with absorption rate and a number of other factors - This is why ppl tend to vape more than they smoked -

I recommend the Dura-C from JantyUSA - This is the 510 and Janty offers 6 months replacement on parts and 3 months on batteries - You talk of modding it - So you may want to look at the JantyStick - I highly recommend that as the best vapor producer for the money - And extra batteries are only $3.00 - Plus the USB port is built right in - I use mine in public all the time - It fits right in the palm of my hand and no one ever even notices it -

Most people soon switch to "dripping" The cartridges have their place but often they are more trouble than they are worth - This is the route I took and I find that 2 drops of juice is about equal to the same number of drags as 1 regular cigarette - A full cart will last for about 5-7 cigs - Don't believe anyone who tells you that a cart=1 pack - That's just a lie - err excuse me "marketing"

As I said before - JantyUSA is a great place to go - Dura-C = Joye510 - No other dealer will give you the warranty that Janty does - and failure rate on these things is pretty high - Ethan is truly an outstanding customer service rep with Janty and I often run out of words to describe what a great experience dealing with him has been -

As far as the menthol - I can't help ya there - I can't stand menthol

I would start out with the 24mg. And if your like me I ended up dropping down to 12mg after the worst of the cravings. I still keep some high around for first thing in the morning and after meals. I've been using a m401 on passthrough and it's been working good. Never tried a 510 though. Went straight to modding from my m401.

I liked the owner too - BUT - I did not like the juice - For me it does not seem to last very long at all - It burns up fast - And one sample he sent of Mocha Flavor - Brought my atty to a halt until I cleaned it - I've heard a lot of good comments about it - But that was not my personal experience - I still have a bottle that I keep for emergencies

- Freedom-Smokes on the other hand I find to be really excellent and he offers a wide variety of flavors and MG options (0-48) - at a great price -

i take it from watching the vid reviews its good for dripping as well ( lol at the two guys, one kept saying it was an AAA battery , the other said it had a firewire port )

and question about dripping ? so i would only need a bottle to take with me , and a couple of drops and i have around 1 ciggy's wort of puffs ?

next how to safely store that bottle ? i take it in your pocket isnt a great idea ?

would need to carry it mobile and dont have a breifcase or fanny pack or male purse nothing like that , just a regular joe ..how to carry a bottle safely ?

I have some wonderful little 3ml dropper bottles.
I got them from ordering a bunch of 3ml samples from NuVape.
But you have to pay 50 cents more for the dropper bottles.

I didn't like the juice, but I kept all those little dropper bottles after dumping the juice down the sink.
And just to be clear, apparently a lot of people DO like their juice, so who knows.

I've heard the Sweet Breath breath freshener bottles are good for carrying a days supply of juice. It cost's about $1 for 2 little bottles that you can dump out and rinse and they hold about 2 mls. I'd think they would be convenient for a guy to slip in their pocket. Would fit real easy in your change pocket of your jeans probably. And welcome to the world of vaping!

The Sweet Breath little bottles are available at Walgreens right by the toothpaste, usually on the top shelf. They work well, but are a little on the stiff side. But easy to come by. I prefer the US Plastics 3ml boston dripper bottles. The plastic is not as firm as the Sweet Breath bottles and are a lot easier to control the dripping. Keep an eye open. Truck Driving Mouse puts together pick ups from USP and the bottles are super cheap. Just the shipping from USP that is killer. TDM picks them up then charges very reasonable shipping! I think he is putting together a group order now?

I carry a 3ml soft plastic dropper bottle with me in a snack bag (the shorties), along with my other gear, and don't have any issues, of course I wear khakis so the pants are a little looser in the pocket area.

I've found that with my mini fogger I top off quite a bit so carrying carts with me all day makes me a little nervous that I may run out at some point, mainly because I am still new, and don't know exactly how many carts will get me through the day. Hence the little 3ml bottle.

I'm still trying out the Johnson Creek ejuice to see if I like it, but when I bought my 15ml bottles (they are glass btw) they included a glass dropper to fit on the cap, as well as a little 3ml soft plastic dropper bottle for each, very nice IMO for the price paid.

Well - It also comes with a very handy little belt clip carrying pouch - A built in USB passthrough/battery charger - A 6ft USB cable - And the 6 month warranty - It is the best deal going even with one atty - They also now have "disposable" atties (without the 6 months warranty) - They are only $7.95 but they are exactly the same atty - And there is just no beating Ethan's service - plus extra batteries are $3.00 rather than $28 and they last much longer than the 510's -

The number of drops will differ slightly depending on the juice type but as a rule 2 drops is about 15-20 puffs = 1 analog - This is also a handy way to know how much you smoke - At first when using the carts - I just vaped non-stop - dripping gives you an end point - It takes a little getting used too - but then so do the carts - If you hear a sizzling sound you are running dry - If you hear a bubbling sound - you put too much -

Like they said =- NOT A GLASS BOTTLE - Just make sure you have one with a very tight lid - and keep it down to a 3-5 ml size - I use about 3 ml per day - So this is another good way to keep track of how much you are using - ordering sample packs from someone who uses plastic dropper bottles is a great way to get bottles and try out some new flavors at the same time - Freedom Smokes has some great flavors and good bottles - They have a 3ml bottle sample packs - https://www.myfreedomsmokes.com/Smoke_Juice.php Chris is a good guy too and very fast and helpful - he has 36MG with 33% extra flavor and 24MG with double flavor - great for cutting

Yeah, those are definitely great little bottles, but they do not appear to be reusable.

I must admit I have not had any of the 3ml bottles from Freedom Smokes - I have a few of their 20ml bottles and they are reusable - The dripper part pops right off - I have several different types of plastic dropper bottles and I have yet to see one that does not open - If not you could use a syringe to fill them - I doubt that they use the same bottles all the time - They may be sealed - I dunno - I do know that he mixes his own flavors - so how else would he get it in there?

I seriously doubt it - I mean you may get a headache - But it won't kill you or anything serious at 24 MG - It is also VERY unlikely that one of these soft plastic bottles would break - You'd have to be trying to break it and even then I don't think you really could - Do you frequently smash your hips up against hard surfaces? Or get punched repeatedly in the pocket area on a daily basis? I've never even had so much as a leak and I keep one in my pocket all the time.
