the origin mech from clearance sales was horrible: voltage drop of near 1v for 1.2ohm load, samsung 25-r full charged. but i got it to use semovar tetris tubes as a mech, so i only got the switch (lubbed, not a great deal anyway). the result has decent voltage drop.
the ss 4nine.. not better than the $11 one i had.
time to visit and post in the classies to make room for the new stuff

Did we get you with the Poldiac too? Well hun .. I will never be one to spend $200 on mechanical tube, but the Poldiac is so much more. This is one mechanical that no one can call "just metal tube" .. there is so much innovation in the Poldiac design and quite honestly I think it is worth $200 with all tubes and pants, and we got it for almost half that.

I paid the same as you did for shipping, 20.26 Euros which was about $23 USD, which is less than DHL from China, so I wasn't complaining. Take your switch apart and clean it before you use it honey .. You owe me some porn too

Writing product reviews is for sure work, and often times hard work and very time consuming. I think many people underestimate how much work it actually is, especially if you intend to be any good at it.

I am not surprised to hear your feelings about the Egrip, I have only heard raves about it and actually want one, but have not gotten one because I know that I will not get to enjoy it as much as I would like and it will end up on a shelf. Focal has Genuine Joyetech Egrips in the US warehouse, and I was surprised to not hear anyone here saying they got one ... I think its cute too.

But you know what I did get? The Joyetech Ego One, do not sleep on this little thing because it really puts out and its so nice looking. Its like a minature mech/RBA set up and they were definitely taking some cue from high end gear set up .. not that is is high end, but I can see that they were trying to recreate a similar aesthetic and I think its well done. Now .. too bad I don't like the juice I put in it at the moment, but the vape quality is very good. Newbies would be so happy to use this.

It is amazing the entry level gear available now. Crazy.

Here's a teaser pic from the eGrip review. You can actually still see grass in the distance... not so much now, lol. It was like 17 degrees with 30mph winds so I didn't spend a lot time framing the shot. I also dropped my iPhone in the snow and almost had a heart attack when the touch screen went unresponsive for about five minutes.

yea, that lateral switch marks a big difference, and it doesn't enlarge the mode too much. i thought to fire it out of the box, but will disassemble and clean the switch; you know yor word is a bible for me. even if it wasn't dirty, inspecting that switch jewel is a didactic must.
also saw the pants, shirts, undies, shoes, and hats.. some of the special editions are in my wishlist, and will wait for your reviews of the overone.
i always use ordinary shipping from china (most tracked and signature required) and from europe, and never had issues (except with philippines post), so shipping costs of 1/3 of the item value results expensive from my perspective. was in the mod of contacting them before ordering to be able to choose elta shipping instead of fedex, but there were only a few miriams in stock, and didn't want to wait. it's really nice and classic, has a greek taste. and i feel good buying to greeks, they do need every help now.
will try some amateur porn when it arrives, surely.

i loved the dark pink m class mini when first saw it, lol. if i sell one of mines to my brother, i'll consider it. but not very fan of temperature control if it only applies to nickel wire.

We here in North Carolina are finally getting some "real" winter this week. It is sleeting along with freezing rain tonight and supposed to do the same tomorrow am. Then another chance of snow on Wednesday. We are having some of the coldest weather of the year this week. It is supposed to be 5 degrees a couple of nights from now. This will be an all time record for the date.
I know it is not as cold as you up north have, but it is cold for here. I am staying in the house and staying warm as long as the power does not go off. I do not like freezing rain as it can cause problems with power lines. A little snow is ok.

every part of that mod is adding voltage drop.
tried adding copper foil to the threads (tubes, switch and top cap), because they were loose, but it' didn't get improved noticeably.
replaced the tubes with one from the semovar: it get improved by near 1/3.
replaced the top cap with an stingray top cap (M20x0.5, like semovar, stingray, 4nine..), or with a hybrid top cap: it get improved by near 1/3.
replaced the pin (brass, thin surface) of the switch with the pin of the ft chi you flat top (silver/nickel(?) plated, thick surface): it get improved by near 1/3. but it auto fired while standing up with an atty, because of the pin thickness (tried some ways to fix this, using other magnets, adding o-rings.. no success).

so, the only piece from the origin that i'm using with the semovar tubes is the switch, lubbed, copper foil added on its thread, 4(OD)x1 o-ring added to the pin to avoid the switch getting disassembled (the bottom suface spins freely). difficult to lock (the lock ring is very thin and gets a bit stuck), but matches perfectly with the semovar tubes, and at the end, has decent voltage drop. will take some photos soon.

Don't know how it performed because I never put a battery in it, all I know is that it is 22mm which I didn't realize initially. I just checked the threads when I got it, and put it back in the box. Then I will to hybrid the Aqua V1 and was really really NOT happy ... the insulator was also missing from the switch. Too bad because I thought the machining on it was very good. Not sure if I received the same one as haku ...

the origin switch is a complex thing, you can adjust many pieces. pity its conductivity is not very good

mine came with a threaded thin white insulator. 2nd batch? got it after it was sold out.
the machining was easy, but loose: worse conductivity.

I am definitely all about the Greeks right now, they have my undivided attention. There are a few oldies I would love to get though, an authentic Turtleship V2 or V3, a Pisces T all SS or SS with gold plated switch only (don't like the newer two tone).. maybe a JM22.

I don't really care for much of the more recent high end mechs that have come out within the last year or so.

while re-inspecting the origin switch, found the way to raise/sink the whole pin section, besides of adjusting the throw. nice features.
so replaced the brass thin pin with the plated thick from the chi you flat top (this reduced the voltage drop in 0.15v).
this combo: origin switch (pin replaced), semovar 18650 tube, and stingray x top cap, got a voltage drop of 0.3v (1.1ohm, lg he2 4.11v)
also notice the short throw, not autofiring

semovar tubes are long (at least, the 18650 one). nice for 18500+kick, but you might need magnet spacers for a 18650 battery
