I brought both my 18350 le petit gros's to work today. Had to change the batteries in both 3 times during the course of the day.
I think if you get the 18650 version, you can always run it in 18350 mode when you feel like it
18650 added to my wishlist, although the only available decent ss versions are gold plated ss (one from fc, one from ft, which looks far better). will might wait for a good polished ss 18650 version, probably, as not in a hurry. thank you!
How many of you hybrid the Aqua V2 WITHOUT the adjusting nut? Is it a pain? Wobbly? (I don't like wobbly) I'm asking because I don't think the Group Buy one comes with the nut, so maybe I should go for the Tobecco/USA one instead, huh? Bummer, kinda.
the group buy aqua comes without the nut. however, you could use any brass (or even copper) nut. stock one is about M5(ID) x 8(OD) x 5(H) mm, although one extreme is beveled to to 4(ID) x 6(OD) mm. so a M5 x 7-8(OD) x 5(H) brass nut would work (not sure, because haven't tried it; i guess the pitch of the thread should go ok).
anyway, i found i had to unscrew that nut very much, to reach the battery in fc (22mm) cartel, so opted to using magnet spacers instead (thought it would have larger contact surface).
another fix could be: no nut, and use a brass/copper M2 screw with shorter head than original, as 510 pin: (un)screw it to adjust. the unused brass pin from the top cap of the vela (batteries were too tight there) worked fine here.
the atty won't wobble, as it's screwed in the M20x1 thread. the 510 contact with the battery shouldn't wobble more than any other adjustable contact (like panzer, vela, etc.)
so that group aqua is a pretty good option. but Nikki has told us about the improvements of the tobeco version respect the 1:1 clones; if i could get it (not from US warehouse), would go for the tobeco, just for its better juice flow.
Also, received my Hobo RDA and 4nine clone yesterday from the Hour Sec Kill event from a couple weeks ago; the 4nine is a bit disappointing because it seems as if one of the two extension tubes was machined on a completely different assembly, having a different diameter of about 0.5mm. Still works fine which is all I really wanted. The Hobo is a great surprise though. Really great flavor, easy to build on and looks terrific.
my 4nine came with one extension tube cracked (top and thread of the tube). it screws on with difficulty at the end. no rush, as i use to replace it with the stingray x extension tubes from ft (which also provide longer space for batteries, if needed). get one of these tubes
