Tank Airflow Controller

I have used these airflow controllers on mods in the past that had soft 510 threads to protect them. I would just screw the airflow controller on the mod and never take it off. By using this you are only using the threads on the airflow controller when screwing on and off atomizers. The center pin is a "floating" type.
After screwing on the atomizer, I would screw the movable part up against the atomizer to give it more support.

Lemo or Lemo Drop

I took your advice and ordered a Lemo and an extra replacement glass. It just came in today (picked another vendor because they also sold the glass). After a scrub down I decided to keep the factory 1.3Ω coil and simply re-wick it. Holy cow! Best atty I've ever used hands down. I have the airflow wide open and it's amazingly airy. It does whistle a little but I'm used to that from kayfuns. I also ordered an Orchid v4 and wotofo Erlkonigin clone from focalecig but those won't be in for a while. I regret not ordering a Lemo Drop along with the full sized Lemo. Thank you so much for the spot on recommendation. I really owe you one.

If someone could post a link of that 510 to 510 with adjustable pin I would appreciate it. Definitely worth having 1 or 2 around.
i've seen these:

Focalecig: (description says Kepler brand, but the pics are different to FT's keplers; you can take advantage of higher discount)
$10.65 Kepler 510 Finned Heat Sink Adaptor for Atomizers - Green

Fasttech: (there are other models -but only consider keplers-, and you can purchase these individually)

I have a FT k4 of unknown origins in front of me atm that a friend was kind enough to get me :)

I haven't built it yet, but it seems good quality based on the threads and appearance. I do have to say when it needs an o ringectomy, replacing all those is going to be a pain.

I spent too much time rebuilding another atty this evening so I may not get to the K4 until tomorrow.

I have the "high end" version off of eBay...nice quality, supposedly 316 SS. I like it okay with the M-tank, but it is so much heavier than the Aqua 2 and not as flavorful to me. Better airflow than the old versions (wide open), and nice filling and wicking system, but the Aqua 2 and Rose v2 have a richer, more complex flavor that I like better than the Kayfun4. As always, the Kayfun is sooo damn easy to do a build on. Did 28 g twisted, 0.5 ohms, Japanese Cotton...vapes good.

I've got to give a thumbs up on the Rose V2 also. It came last week, I finally got it in the Ultra Sonic cleaner today and tried my hand setting it up, I'm still very green with these types of atty's and my hopes were not high but you have to jump in the water at some point and learn from mistakes. I made a simple one coil, 28 ga six wraps at 1.2 ohm wicked with rayon, first twenty or so hits I was sure I had the wick to tight, I opened the juice flow up to the point I was sure it would flood and wham wonderful flavor! Been hitting it the last few hours and it's amazing! Too soon to tell if I'll get longevity from my wick but tonight I don't care, just enjoying the hell out of it.

I realized today I didn't get any mesh with the Flash-e that also came last week, I'll have to wait before I can report on that one, I was hoping to try both tonight.

I recieved the Origen Genesis made by Tobeco. It was on that auction site for $21....from KanVape...it said on the listing Tobeco and yep it came in a Tobeco box...there was a thread over in the RBA and several people were having shorts and on here the tanks wouldn't come off so I was leary BUT this one is very well made

I took it all apart..it was really tight so took a rag and pliers to do. Everything is just the same as on Todd's video. I have a 1.0 coil with cotton in it now and it is very very nice...I will of course be playing with other builds

Now to bring this back to FC...they have three different ones on there with different prices. ..if we could find out if one is the Tobeco one that would be great.

This might be adjustable, but the description doesn't specify. FWIW I couldn't find them at FC for the life of me, maybe someone else will have better luck... $1.17 510 to 510 Adapter.

While I accept the Kayfun V4 for what it is, I think it is overly engineered. The SS and Glass tank assembly is annoying, even as I like the way that it looks with the glass tank. Once you get a feel for it, and find your sweet spot I do think the flavor is better than a KFL .. not by worlds, but better. But due to its design, this will never be a "go to" tank of choice. And I am actually glad that the authentic was out of stock when I was down to buy it.

Hmm .. "high end" and "clone" is a bit of an oxymoron IMO .. and be careful of the "316" version claims as I read that they tested as not true 316 ss.

roxy I mis-spoke on the adjustable adapter, I went surfing for it with no luck, then remembered it was the iStick bending adapter that has the spring loaded center pin Eleaf iStick Bending Adapter I don't really see the point of using the bending adapter on the iStick when you can just use the ego adapter that came with it, well other then the bending adapter is "cool" looking, well maybe to some folks. :)

However the two 510 to ego adapters I have, one from MFS and the other that came with the iStick, both have center pins that are in a rubber bushing. The center pin will float to some extent when you screw it onto a mod, hope that helps and sorry for the mix up. I've used both with clearo's, pro tank's, plume veil, fogger and the rose, all with no problems on my Hana, iStick and Vamo,

haha my tank finally came off after two weeks!
What mine doesn't have though is the handy little hole on the positive post. I've taken this thing apart a bunch of times, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how it could possibly short. One annoying thing though, is the thumb nut that secures the positive wire has a tendency to loosen up - then there's no joy. And even in single coil mode, it's a little juice hog, even with its almost-3ml capacity. Mine is the ±$24 one.

Hah! New computer is here! Just have to learn how to use it first. My old computers were so old that everything's totally different now. I'm getting vertigo from the frigging touch pad because it has all those swipe and two-finger pinch and zoom things. Oh, and auto spell-check, telling me what I wanna type. How cool is that?

I want to try a Kayfun 4 but so many to pick from.

Tobeco seems to have a good version out. I have a black one on the way (supposedly).

Anybody else notice that some of the photos for the $22 Kayfun V4 (black orings with spares) are exactly the same photos for the 1:1 Robbot version. What's up with that?

Yes, that's why I ordered one. With the 15% off, it was $19 and change. I'll let you know in a few weeks or months when I get it.

I agree. I like the functionality but it's very complex. I need to replace a few o-rings on my FT clone so it doesn't leak into the air chamber but otherwise, I do like it. It's about the same vape, maybe a bit better than my KFL+'s. Airflow is better and it's a bit more quiet. After I get the o-rings I ordered, I'll try a ni200 build to see how that works. If it's stable, it might be my go-to atomizer.
