@Fa-Q .. I just spoke to Sylvia and she said they are expecting the Kayfun V4 clone to be ready by Friday .. but that is a projection. I think they may be feeling pressure with all of these pre orders popping up, but I told them not to rush to try and keep up. While I want this like yesterday, but I also want a good quality one, no rush jobs.

Been away awhile, glad this thread is still going strong :)

Nothing much new my way except for a couple Sigelei's, so I thought I would share a little porn tonight ;)

Hey Nikkita6, was reading your IPV mini review. Do you suppose the voltage anomalies have anything to do with some sort of automatic buck/boost functionality to get it hot quick? Just pondering. I get less and less pleased with this device the more I ship it back to replace a defective one and read about it. I was also underwhelmed with the performance as compared to my ....... born ZNA 50. Loving this thing.

* sighs * I'll still have to wait likely until next year to get my matching black atty for it as only ONE of my Chinese shipments has reached these US shores. Ironically, it landed in Jamaica, NY

No, I don't .. I am familiar with that style of boost voltage for the first second to decrease ramp up time, Robbot is using it on their new ZNA 50, and done rather well I might add. For example, with the Robbot, that initial boost of voltage is displayed on screen, then changes to the proper output according to ohm's law .. so it can be tracked on display and on a meter. With the IPV, the voltage on display never came close to matching what the actual output was.

All voltage numbers, including the bottom # were all well over the setting, as I stated in my review. Even if you used the lowest output # only to calculate voltage/wattage, it was still way over the wattage setting, forget about the initial output when you first hit the fire button ... so even if that was their intent, they failed miserably.

I'm hoping her's was fluky. Mine should be here on Friday, I think.

Let us know what you think. Someone else said the exact same as Nikki in the ipv mini thread. Although his wording was so similar I think he copied it from her review ;). I need to go look at that post again. I think I read it yesterday.

I have been using my ipv mini for about a week, everyday. Vaping at 12.5 watts and 1ohn build without any issues. It is much heavier than I expected, compared to a Istick. The screen is dim and hard to read indoors. Forget about it outside in the sunlight. The screen goes black after fire button is released. Although it fire instantly when fire button is depressed.

Build quality is above average, 510 connection is very good, all atty sit flush and strate. Fire button has a light through and easy to fire. Scrolling up and down accelerates quickly. USB charge adapter is on the bottom. Good if you are vaping while charging, not so good if you are charging with a atty on it that may leak laying on it's side. I made a charging stand to keep the device standing vertical while charging to prevent any leaking.

The only thing I would change is the the brightness of the screen and how long it stays illuminated.

At the end of the day, at this price point I would give it 2 thumbs up. You could get 2 IVP mini's or 1 Vaper Shark and not be able to replace the battery.

After reading Nikki's review of the ipv mini, I may hold out for something different anyway. Thanks once again :)
The voltage thing doesn't bother me that much, just use a different power setting. The size is what I'm not that crazy about, it's not very mini for a mini. I'm waiting for the Sigelei and Cloupor mini's to come out and see which one of the three I like best.

I recently "reviewed" the Mephisto V2 clone I received from FC. One of the issues I noted was the spinning center post when the 510 pin is backed out. It will also spin when torquing down the post screw unless you secure the 510 end with another flathead screwdriver.

Well, this morning I received an Ivogo Mephisto V2 clone from another vendor and the positive post does not spin at all, even with the 510 pin completely removed. It obviously is secured without aid of the 510 pin, unlike the FC clone. I'm going to break the FC clone down this evening to confirm. The Ivogo is of generally better quality all the way around. The FC unit isn't *terrible* by any means, it's just not as "polished" as the Ivogo. Another difference between the two is the black plastic "heat sink" on the bottom of the atty is threaded on the FC version and removeable - it appears permanently attached on the Ivogo.

Not sure if I'll keep the FC unit or ask Ms. Doris for some recompense. Perhaps a new deck if the spinning post is a defect rather than a function of sub-standard design.
