Kuruptsenate, my sleeve has gaps, too, in the top corners on my sx zero. However, it sits flat without wobbing. All screws are flush.

And its accurate.

Fit and finish not quite as good as my Yosen. My first Yosen was absolutely perfect in the looks department, but went haywre in less than a week. The replacement Yosen has QC issues with the inside part having gaps (but only I see them since the sleeve is on otherwise). However, the sx one has a much better chip and 510. I'll take that anyday over the Yosen's. Wrapping the sleeve might hide the gaps if I do it well.

I broke the glass I had for one of my Erlks. I assume I must have overtightened it. It was never dropped. Those cracks were vertical.

Most often, tank cracks- whether from over tightening or 'corrosive' juice- will follow either a casting/parting line or will break along the threads. Both places are where "stress risers" form and can be basically invisible to the naked eye after the tank has been finish machined. Stress risers can also form where there's a 90 degree angle having no chamfer.

The one I just ordered yesterday as a replacement was FC SKU 23281.

The one that broke was NOT an FC Product. And no, it didn't come from that other place either.

I have the same one but in silver, SKU 23280. This version looks better than any others I have seen. Notice that the air holes are placed further inwards away from the top cap wall and the AFC slot is wider.

FYI - I ordered the clear cap from the other place but it doesn't fit this version so don't bother with that.

I got my focalecig DNA 30 box mod in yesterday (SKU: 19557) and it keeps giving me "too hot" errors. I even tried using an aerotank with 2ohm coils at 8 watts and it still gives me the "too hot" warning. I bought it for my Lemo and it's built at 1,1ohm and I run that at 15 watts. Just tried it on a Veritas 1.6ohm at 20 watts and it happened on it also. It only happens when I take about 4-6 hits in a short amount of time but it does it on every topper I've tried. Does anybody know of some kind of fix for this or do I need to return it?

I'd return it. Seems like a faulty connection with the chip.

Unless you wish to mess with soldering. ;)

Thank you so much for the response. Maybe it would be best to return it but I do have lots of soldering equipment and the back and forth from China is such a long process. Most of my soldering experience is with rewiring guitars. If it's a simple soldering repair I'm fine doing it myself but that could make returning it tricky if the fix doesn't work. Is this a common problem? I looked for a thread or video on how to fix it but nothing turned up.

Up to you, but I would probably return it. I expect brand new things to work at least for a little while :)

Solid advice. I'll email FC today and ask if I can return it. I waited so long to get one hoping that the bugs would be worked out. Guess it was wishful thinking. :(

On another note my IPV Mini is flawless. :toast:

No, you just got a janky one. Others have been very happy with theirs.

You need to get a video of the too hot message to show them.

Don't open it up unless you're prepared to keep it. It might be a solder connection, but it could be a janky chip. That's why I would return it, in case its the chip.

Any clever ideas on how to fix this? Is it even possible to fix this? So, annoyed, only one build on this N22. It was a good atty if it had not fallen apart.
Was it press fit, or does the 510 positive screw hold it in place? If it's a screw thing there's hope, if pressed you need a new insulator. I just got around to building mine today, but it's just OK on my first build. I'll try a different build in a couple of days, maybe a spaced coil with rayon.

I'll need to upload a video? Wow. This is an amazing century. I'll use my phone to shoot an HD video of an electronic vaping device and send it via email to a company in China for defect verification. Couldn't do that when I was a kid. :p

I had a DNA 35 watt box that did the same thing. After doing some troubleshooting and reading, it is a common problem.
There are only 3 things I found to do with it. Live with it, send it back or mod it.

Check out the vid.

Hope this helps

Mmmm, the smok xpro m22 looks like it might be nice and sandy might like it. For $37 I might have to give it a go

Girl you better give something a go, always coming in here to tease us with what you almost got, and thinking about getting. :p Well, I got it, so it will be the battle of the 20 wattish devices between this and the Kamry 20 ... who will win??

It does, thank you. You mention in the video notes that you wanted to return it to focalecig. If you did return it, how did that go? That's the rout I'll be taking.
