I'm not sure if I simply suck at mesh, but I could never get the resistance to sit still.
I've been wicking with rayon, but yeah, it has a lot of moving parts that like to come loose - the top nut, the disky deck thing from the base, ... either one of those coming loose could mess up the pin or make your mesh move around in those rings on the stem that keep them lined up (never worked with mesh so dunno if that would do anything, but...)
I put o-rings on my pin so that I could really tighten the top nut without it going too far in.

    FC mail!

Lancia just showed up. Can't believe I waited this long to order one. The build quality appears to be very good. Unfortunately, I left all my Kanthal at home (it normally travels in my laptop bag) so I won't be able to build it until tonight.

Not sure what it is going to live on just yet. It looks dope on my Workhorse but my Billow has claimed the WH as its very own. I bet it would look sick on the stainless SMPL but the 510 doesn't protrude very far from the connector. Guess I need to buy another mod just for the Lancia.

edit: I'm not much on ornate mods but I bet the Lancia would look sweet on the Silver Dragon with the glass tank. Drifter, you have both, correct? Any chance a brother could get a pic of that combo when you have the opportunity?

About time you got the lancia, best looking dripper I have, I did have to change out the bottom o rings though on mine, my only complaint is you can't drip much or get leaking out the air holes.

I just got the Marquis this week, and as far as production, I would say it is just as good as the lancia, pros is can drip more juice with zero leaking, but it sure doesn't look as good as the lancia though.

did you get the mechanical GDeal?

Yep. It arrived today as a matter of fact. I have everything but the 510 and vented screw. Those should be showing up late next week or early the following week. Here it is mocked up with an authentic bottom feed Derringer:

My Marquis from FC will be here on Monday. I'll be reviewing it for VC. I already have a bottom fed Marquis clone but haven't been able to use it yet since my bottom feed mod isn't fully assembled... still waiting on some parts.

Does the FC Marquis have a flanged positive screw?

Yes it does, this the 1st dripper for me with this way of doing the coils, and admit I struggle at doing a good build on it, but sure it will get better and easier with more practice.

Good deal... I know some of the FT units didn't have the flanged screw head which is kind of helpful in capturing the coil leads. I'm hoping my learning curve won't be terrible.

How are you going to stuff a DNA40 and all the wiring in a Peko?

sorry if you got that impression. the GDNA was before the Peko. he originally designed it to accept a DNA chip, then wanted to get PDib to build the shell (instead of the printed material) PDib sent that one to Mark Todd. GDeal then made his own shell (wood + 3d print)

he then modified that design to be strictly mechanical and the Peko was born.

I'd be going for the GDNA

Gotcha... I was scratching my head trying to figure out how that was going to work. I appreciate the backstory on these mods! That's pretty cool.

    yea, no problem

Bap originally helped GDeal get into the 3D printing game. I have one of the Bap dual 18650s mods that I built from his co-op. now, if you want one you have to get them from Vape Dojo. really, it's the smallest, lightest dual 18650 mod with a DNA in the box

I got FC mail today too ... and yesterday too! I received the most beautifully machined Kayfun V3.1 ever, and I love it more than my first one. I got it because I always wanted the near seamless version, but also to do a current comparison to the Russian 2.0 which I also LOVE LOVE LOVE. So happy that I pulled the trigger on the Russian 2.0, THIS is the updated Kayfun that I had hoped for. So far I love everything about the Russian, and the way it vapes is perfect for me ...

Today I received a 2nd SX Zero which is actually a tad nicer than my first one, but I haven't put a battery in it yet. The only apparent difference is the sticker on the inner housing has changed from reading "Eachely" to "Hotcig". The inner wood housing also looks little lighter in color. But the body sleeve arrived better fitted than my first one, and the fire switch is a little firmer as well, which I like. As soon as my batteries comes off the charger I will be making sure that chip is in fact unchanged from the first.

I also received the Vapor Flask V2 clone and the Atlantis (I know I am way late with that) ... The VF is much smaller than I had imagined it would be. The body and finish looks great though. Haven't put batteries in that one yet either .. I am not as excited about it as I was months ago, the whole VF thing took too long to come about with the V2. I hope is works as good as it looks. :)

ordered the old origin mech mod, from fc clearance promotions, to play with semovar tubes (but also with stingray and 4nine)..

I ordered that one as well from the clearance sale :) .. Since last year I had always wanted the Aqua V1/Origin set up, so I will finally have it ... even if I don't actually use it

*cough*... it's black, lol. My camera just washed out the color. It's much darker in person. Not sure if I'm just going to put a clear sealant on it, wrap it, paint it... no clue yet. I just want to get it functional first!

Nice! While shiny is good and all I really like a minimalistic approach, too.
