i had an issue with the kato: it autofired while locked into a pocket. noticed the hot on my skin, the glass of the atty cracked. wasn't able to find the cause, but removed the o-rings i putted in the switch, and restored its original longer throw.
the aluminum gets scratched easily (even not touching the robbot zna
). "fixed" it by using the scotch brite, but had to brush the whole allu surface to get it uniformed; now i'll have to polish it a bit, because my brushing skills are poor.
although it's a bit heavy, i've been using it as my outdoor pocket mod; compact and easy to carry on.
btw, i've made another fix to the 510 of my sxmini, reinserting the spring and using a nylon washer and a nylon nut (the items i was able to get), as replacement of the broken phenolic upper gasket. now it's spring loaded again, and there is less risk when screwing a long 510 atty (can push it harder, the nylon resists much pressure). even you can unscrew (adjust) the pin a bit (not too much, if it gets pulled out, you'll have to open the mod), to make contact with short 510s.
so i can say that my rookie fix has improved the original 510 =))
