Just got my kayfun v4 from FC today. Seems to be better than my FT "A" version.

Interesting note: The FC version came with a holographic sticker with serial number.

Very nicely written! I love the fact you made it light hearten right from the start, I have to admit I don't always read entire reviews but you pulled me in with that and I read the entire review. Pics are great, the tips and safety info on the battery's I felt was very important. Good job, well done and I wouldn't change a thing! SlickWilly gives this one two thumbs up!

I agree, I like Nathan's balance of light hearted humor and useful information .. Now Willy, are you saying that you don't really read my reviews?  :glare:

Nice porn KTM :thumb: Yup, it looks like its Tobeco for the win when it comes to the KF4 clone war.

I personally haven't run my Kato that low. Lowest dripper I ran on the Kato was 0.5ohms. Never ran a tank setup that low ever so I can't honestly say if the Kato can handle that or not. If you like the Katos form factor and looks then go for it bro, you will love it in your hands. You can always put a higher build on it if you develop any hot buttons as a result of your .25 ohm build.

Are you still liking the kato? If I could only find an extension so I can use a dripper when not using a tank I would have had one by now

Oh did you get it from FC? I know they had one that sent Tamipac into a hissy because it didn't come with any spares or accessories? How are you going to sell a Genny with no mesh?

I did. No mesh or spares. It was under $10, but I need mesh. What size do you suggest. Also, that top piece the dt goes in is a bear to push back on, even lubed up. Worried I'll break the glass.

I was fortunate enough to get a Heron when they were sold by FC and that came with the extension I used to raise drippers on the Kato. I also needed another topcap but since I run my Hurons on my Paps in hybrid mode I just used the topcap from the Paps. Im unsure if they sell just the extension, but others posted of some different extensions supplied with other hybrid attys that would also work. So there are some options available with a little looking around. It's ashame that Kato didn't think to supply one with his mod for dripper use. Bet he would sell quite a few if they were available.

You can get good SS mesh on Ebay, like 5pc of 3x3 pieces for 5 bucks free shipping. 400 or 500 mesh is fine .. search it and you will find it easy. There is a trick to getting that drip seated, but I forgot what it is  It involves turning/shifting the section below it, but its packed away at the moment ... turn and shift some stuff Roxy

I dunno, Crocky - could you do something with this? https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10005475/1698000-sale-510-adapter-for-3d-rebuildable-dripping Plus a hybrid connector maybe?
Or I guess you could buy a Heron just for that one piece: https://www.fasttech.com/search?heron

Hmmm. whatcha think, Drifter? You're the pro at making that work...

So I received my Infinite KFL V2. It's a beaut. I am officially a fan. What I'm looking for is a separate Nano kit of this quality for my SilverPlay. Sigh. I also got a cheapie knurled black Kayfun Quartz tank from that other place. That one is rather awful for airflow, but looks lovely on the black. I'm still trying to decide how much I loath the oring and glass treatment. It was quite annoying to get the chimney top to slide past the oring in the top cap. It also leaked when I filled it, but hasn't leaked since. I'll likely just get a second infinite KFL v2 and Tobecco Aqua. Sigh. I just need a couple more mods to slap these on lol

I agree, it should be called insanity. 11 setups and counting... Smh

The one from FC isn't too bad. You can't really tighten the 510 screw or the JC doesn't work. It's snug now and it works fine. Same with the FT version. The Tobeco just works out of the box with no issues I've found yet. They all work but for those that don't want to mess with it, the Tobeco is the way to go. And I got the black one for $22 shipped and I have a silver one coming for $20 shipped. The FC was $19 after the one day discount. The FT was $23 and had the most issues (relative). Top filling is awesome and there's really no trick to it. Close the JC and remove the top nut to fill.

I have a Tobeco black Kayfun V4 and the one focalecig is offering. The one from focalecig has a stainless drip tip, logo and the square bit on the bottom. The contrasting color just looks so much better than the fully black Tobeco version IMHO. Both are very good with fit and finish, good threading.

That single 510 adapter should be enough to raise to a dripper. The key to using that will be to get a topcap that will fit into the 510 adapter's top threading that also has a dual screw adjustable pin setup to make contact with the positive pin at the bottom of the adapter.

I've managed to get a bit lost here. Is there an aftermarket type solution to making the requisite spacer to allow drippers with the Kato? Or do I need to see if the Heron clones I have came with the special part?
