Tempered is easier to work with - not as soft.

Correct, it has the same resistance properties as the soft annealed wire, it's just much easier to work with and doesn't bend your coil out of shape when pulling a wick through. I think it's a little stiffer and has more spring to it then kanthal wire but that's just my take from playing with it, I haven't built with it yet.

I'm not sure, to be honest, Nikki. I find the BB to be rather confusing :). Qorax would know.

Yes I am sure he would .. a little while back someone was selling the Atmistisque Diver in the classies for around $55 bucks and I would have gotten it except someone beat me to it  .. But I am glad it turned out this way because I really don't need to spend that much for something that I am not sure I will even like.

I still have the issue of what type of carto tank I should get to use this with. I kind of almost hope that the Diver clone is a fail because the authentic sells for as much as $80 brand new, and China retail is a mere $5 .. if this $5 clone turns out to be really good and properly made that won't look so good for the authentic Diver :(

Can't just stick a diver in a junky tube
Gotta get some flair!

Ibtanked and phiniac are the place to go for tanks. Phiniac even does custom work
And I get all my replacement geni tanks at ib

Bit of history: carto tanks were originally cut syringe tubes with grommets, the idea was posted here

Hohooo .. temptation  Hmm .. interesting that you say this as I did receive the Diver 2 clone, K.loud and Seedecig Black Oak clone (not the GB version) today. I am most likely going to get a SnP tank, just need to decide on 23mm or the 22mm SS tank.

The Diver 2 clone appears to be well made, but I have no experience with this so its hard to say just how good it is, if really at all .. same with the K.loud which also appears very well made, but the only thing I know about this atty is that I like the way that it looks.

The wood box that the Black Oak comes with is awesome, I like just the box! The Black Oak itself is smaller in real life than I thought it would be, really not much difference in size from the Kato Square box, although it is heavier. I was always skeptical about the black oak wood but it is really black oak wood. At first glance the whole thing appears to be well machined, although the edges of the cut outs could be smoother, they are a little sharp.

The little black oak wood atty risers are really solid feeling .. I need to wait for a new 26650 battery to be delivered to use it because I sold my MNKE's about a month ago.

I also picked up those Taifun Bell Caps too so I need to try those on to see if they look right.

Yeah I hope my battery hurries up as I am a little anxious myself to try it out. A few months ago I really wanted the Black Oak but Seedecig ...... me off with their MOQ nonsense so I never got it. Upon closer inspection of it I can see some machining flaws where the rounding is where the atty sits, so its not perfect. Just hope it hits well, I have a VA Stinger drip tip all ready to use with it. :)

You know, I can't lie .. I was looking at that SMY box, but like you I need more info. SMY hasn't been impressive IMO with their prior offerings, so hopefully someone will get it and offer some feedback. I'm looking forward to the Hcigar box though, and I kinda like the HB50 version too so it would be nice to see that on FC as well.

just a heads up guys, I posted my Sophia, Diver v2 with tanks plus a high end wire welder in the classies.... i'm looking to trade everything for a SX mini. all of it together is worth a lot more than a sx mini costs ;)

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/sale-trade/664595-ca-fs-ft-sophia-diver-v2-wire-welder.html

Oh man, If I had gotten that 2nd SXmini like I planned then I would totally trade you. I am using my SXmini right now, and its still my favorite regulated device. :) But I am not interested in the new one ...

Black Oak clone looks pretty good. I jumped on it for 45 dollars. Now for the wait...................

Unless you really like the idea of having the wood box, then the GB is the better deal IMO. The GB Black Oak is not the same manufacturer as the Seedecig boxed version, which may be a good thing. I am not impressed with Seedecig's machining, at least not on the one I received. Its not horrible or anything, but I have seen much much better machining on less expensive clones.

The box set is well done, and so are the black oak risers ..

Who is GB, and where do I get it?
