That's the plan for mine.I know the chip will go bad some day,and when it does,i will definitely be putting the authentic chip in,i may even do it before it goes out haha.

If your lucky,it may be in the 3-7 day range that they post,mine took over a month before it shipped,because kangxin was behind on production,then shut down early because of the Chinese new year,but i think most have been in that 3-7 range.

Ah OK. This is still the model without USB charging port so I can't imagine Kangxin's current production line could cause any delays

I always wondered about a charge port (micro USB or not) on dual parallel mods. There's no way that the batteries would naturally charge at identical rates which means there's circuitry in there for charging. Can any explain in rather simple terms how that works?

Honestly, its a concern. I suspect this is what's wrong with the 50W isticks. I suspect the batteries aren't charging at the same rate, and one is overcharging.

All my dual external battery mods, I pull the batteries for charging. My Sig 100Ws are in series, but one battery always is slightly more discharged than the other when I pull them.

Parallel is self balancing so yes, they do charge at the same rate.
Serial is completely different and definitely needs extra circuitry for balanced charging.

Oh ok,i didn't know they even had those listed anymore.That's what i got was no charging port,but they started stocking the one with it the same day they shipped mine haha,so yeah i doubt production should cause any hold up then.

P4U had to dismantle it on the first ipv3 because the batteries weren't charging evenly despite being a parallel configuration. They claim they have it solved on the ipv4, but I know I would be leary.

The IPV3 uses the batteries in series, as does the IPV4. The IPV4 has a balance charger board in it, unlike the IPV3.

Most of my previous orders went from "collecting" to shipped within 48 hours, but the last order seemed to be in limbo until I emailed them about it... then it was shipped less than 48 hours later. Probably worth shooting them a quick email (service @ focalecig.com and put your order number in the subject line).

I had no idea about their regular delay between ordering and shipping but I already thought it was taking quite long for a clearence item which they probably have in stock.
Gonna ask them about it.
