Thanks, I appreciate it. Medical service just isn't what it used to be I guess. I loved the marines though no need to thank me. I would still be in the sog if they would have let me. They said "we are sorry but every marine has a shelf life and your just over do" so here I am. I hate being a civilian, no adventure, no rush, just kids, eat, sleep, bills, repeat. That's why I joined I liked the fighting and the bombs and all of it. I enlisted knowing I wanted to go force recon and I loved every day of it. My wife on the other hand well she never really got it lol.
Dude...........I hope you're hammering the VA to get the care you need. It's a PITA. My 1st ex hub(USMC), current BF(USAF), and his brother (USMC) are all 'Nam vets, all have medical issues, a little too late. Agent orange related, shrapnel, PTSD, TMI, etc.,etc. BF's brother is on his last leg, AO related Parkinson's and multiple cancers (Walking Dead), Bf has AO related early stage demetia and blown rotator cuff from humpin' bombs/defoliants at Phu Cat , ex-hub is just FUBAR,......The VA is all about hurry up and wait. Metal detectors go off on all of them, 40 years (give or take) after the fact.
BF goes in for his shoulder in the next few weeks, another MRI, dig out a bone spur, and see if they can do something about the rotator......no pain meds because of the free for all the docs have been doing the last 30 years, if you're in pain, suck it up. Neighbor of mine OD'd on oxy because that's all the VA would give him, and he was WW2. Suicide by VA meds. They didn't care, one less on the roll.
Do what you gotta do, take it slow, and be good to yourself.
A gal who lives at our other property and has her horse on this property is going to her fiance's graduation at Ft. Benning,Georgia this week, Special Ops, then he has 2 years training out of Ft. Bragg, NC. She doesn't have a clue, and I don't think he has much more of a clue.
End rant.............Good luck, dude!
