Well, i took apart the Kui to try and figure it out. took pics and sent them to doris, as well as a video of it auto firing. I can say this is a bad clone.
The metal that connects the 510 to the switch flaps around, theres nothing to hold it straight. I figured maybe a dab of glue on the 510 end to hold it straight, but nothing. the metal connecting the switch to the 510 will lay against either the battery contact or the wall of the mod causing it to continually fire even after the switch is released.
The bottles they provided were DOA from the start. I was able to use the cap they provided with the bottle of my Smokeless Owl clone (from GB) to make something that works and holds more
juice. Its mentioned that the included bottle for the Kui is a 10ml bottle, but I dont believe it holds that much (didnt use syringe to fill it) but the bottle from the smokeless can hold 13ml plus the tube. more capacity is good.
Magnets dont really hold the door securely. Might have an issue where they're repelling instead of attracting.
And the last thing I did last night before calling it quits with the damn thing........ Got the door jammed. Wont slide up or down. was too aggravated to pursue the issue any farther and just left it alone for the night. Might revisit it this evening to salvage my juice bottle and battery to use with my smokeless owl (that started leaking recently)
On the bright side of all of this, I got to build my lowpro. Thats a neat little design. Hard to work with at first, but after you get the hang of it you can work it out. Did 10 wraps of 24ga around a little blue screwdriver and wound up with a .5x, and its a good vape. noisy little bugger though. also, make sure your coil is low enough that you dont melt your drip tip splashguard. (ask me how i know) Its got a great size juice well in it, feeds directly from the bottom so juice drains back into the bottle, and good flavor.
With all of that being said, I was really unhappy with the resolution provided by Julie, and I decided to email Doris again. Sent her pictures of the flappy metal bit, a video of the mod autofiring, and my review. Hopefully I'll be able to have this resolved. I just want a 22mm bottom feeder that isn't .....
