What are you guys building it at? I usually build my kayfun at 1.4 ohms and it hits just right (I don't like sub ohming). I find it vapes SOOO much better than the Kayfun 3.1 and has better airflow control.

B'coz of dual-coils mine tend to go sub-Ohm on the Fogger v4. I keep it around 1.2Ω-1.4Ω on my K'funs as well.

I've done a few different builds, with different wire, all hemp fiber wrapped vertical coils (only way to go on bottom airflow RBAs)
Dual 30AWG @ 2 ohm/coil
Dual 28AWG @ 1.5 ohm/coil
Dual 26AWG @ 1 ohm/coil
The 26AWG is the best vape, but battery life is horrible
The 28AWG is the overall best option for me vape vs. battery & juice life

I've been only using kayfuns and drippers for the last 6 months, have loved the kayfuns, but that love has been dying fast, lately been having a lot of leaking problems with the kayfuns, could be they are just getting old, so been researching a lot on different RBA's, and really tempted by the fogger, being set for dual coils and glass tank is a real selling point for me, but the down point is how often they are updating this thing, 4 different v4's already, and know I don't want the ones with the bigger deck, due to how little juice they hold, know the v4.4 is with the smaller deck again, but the only place I have found the v4.4 is froginfog, and seems it could take 3-4 weeks to get to me, by the time I get it there will probably be a 4.5

I had no clue there were multiple Fv4s. Just got one ~ and it has been hunky dory since. The bloody thing is perfect for its name ~ it is a Fog Machine! And vapes gr8 at that!

Btw, one of my K'funs is nearly two years old. It has never leaked till now. Another is over a year old - same goodness. The next four K'funs/Russians are a year under ~ man these attys are good too!

None of the versions of the Fogger V4 are bad. The big deck version suffers from lack of capacity but nothing else. So just order any small deck version you find. If you get the original or the revised one you'll still like it. I don't think there's a need to specifically search out the newest version unless you absolutely positively have to have the latest version.

Microcoils? How many turns of the 28 ga? I don't like using cotton, I prefer silica so my coils aren't built to last. Still I rebuild every two weeks or so

That's good to hear, as decided to order one from focalecig as comes with both the glass and metal tank, think it is the 1st version, so has the spinning afc, but that is no big deal and a easy fix, has the smaller deck, so will have the bigger capacity for juice :)
Look forward to getting it, with the amount I've read and watched about the fogger, hopefully it will be easy going for me.

In the other Fogger V4 thread there was talk that this one (the one with an extra steel tank section) was a clone. Might check the other thread for some experiences on that one. Good luck!

Everything I have is a clone, so that doesn't bother me, being a glass tank, I like having the metal tank as a back up too, if I like the performance and setup, then will look at getting another and probably look at getting the v4.4 then.

Thanks Bob, for the vertical build pics! I've had my Fogger V4 for about a month now, and I've tried various different resistance builds, but always in the horizontal configuration. I also drilled mine out, and removed the AFC ring. I just built what I guess some might call a continuous dual coil with 5 wraps on each side on a 1/8" bit for a final resistance of .47. I used a single piece of wire, wrapped one side first, then looped the slack around the neg post and did another 5 wraps and screwed it all down on the positive post. I just figured that would be a little easier than trying to fight 2 pieces of wire to stick under each of the two screws. I also used cotton instead of hemp wick, since I don't have any hemp. I imagine the hemp probably wicks/works better in this particular application, but the cotton seems to be holding up so far. I'm definitely going to try this build again, with maybe a slightly smaller bit and try and find a sweet spot (.7-.5). I'm looking forward to trying this on my Fogger Big as well. Thanks again for the idea, info and pics!
