Hey, has this happened to anyone? I jusr received my fogger about 15 minutes ago, but Ive already run into a problem. One of the screws works fine, but the other screw seems to be stuck in it's post. So when I try to unscrew it, it comes out from the bottom instead of the top like it should - the whole post comes out.

I have a picture but I guess I'm not allowed to post links :(

Any ideas on how to fix this?

I haven't ran into that problem yet. I'm sure you could use two needle nose pliers and grab the post with one and grab the screw head with the other and separate them, you would think. See if that works and if it doesn't post again I'm sure one of us can figure out the quick and easy method.

Btw, that is a beast of a tank though. I've been using it more than my kayfun recently.

I've been at it with pliers for the past hour, the screw won't budge :(

One of the ones I worked on came like that. In that case the post screw is torqued more than the deck screw.

Remove the 510 Phillips head screw, remove the flat head underneath and the positive post should come out. Then you need to vise grip the deck and remove the post screw. Then just reassemble.

It's the bottom post that the screw is stuck in :/

You can try heat, if you have a torch heat that bad boy waaaaay up and give her a go. You could also try something like pb blaster or another penetrating lubricant, spray it down, let it settle for a few minutes, then give that go. If those don't work, you could put the base in a vice (with some rubber gloves around it to prevent nicks and still apply grip, attach a pair of vice grips to the stuck screw, and use various cheater bars to get enough torque.

Best of luck!

Its times like these when I wish I could be there with the person to help them out because I know exactly how frustrating it is when something so simple will just not work right. All you want to do is vape that beast, and can't. Just curious can you post a picture yet?

Sigh, I wish you were too. I just got it today, been looking forward to it all week, wrapped the coils, then this :(

Let me try again.

Awesome it works! so you can see the top post, the screw comes out, but for the bottom post, the post comes out instead. I took the post all the way out and have been trying to grip it with pliers and unscrew the screw, but it's in there for the long haul...

No go on the torch. The screw is super tightly screwed into the post. I don't there's room for lubricant to get down there :/

Penetrating lubricant will get in there, thats what its meant to do, free stuck parts :) I worked on boats for a few years, free'd many a stuck nut/bolt/screw, pb blaster and torches were my friends, I'd say cheater bars were as well, but I got smacked in the head by one so I don't like them as much

If you have vice grip and some rubber gloves, you'll get a better grip on either the post or the screw. Even rubber gloves and your pliers. The disposable kind work really well because they can be wrapped around whatever part you are getting at without obstructing your view or grip.

I should mention, I'm not saying wear the rubber gloves, put the rubber on the screw or the post then grip it with the pliers, you will increase the grip and not mar the piece, its a win win.

SPBALLER is right. Any kind of penatrating lube should work. Hit up a Walmart, they should have some. If it was me, I'd go to the 24hr one by my house right now. Ha. Did you order this online or buy locally? If locally, definitely return it. I have two foggers v4 and haven't had any problems nor did my buddies that I coiled for him. Maybe just a bad batch. Surprised it didn't happen to me, I'm usually the one that gets the bad ones and no one else does. Penatrating lubricant sounds like the only option right now unless you are friends with the hulk. Good luck and keep me updated.

Apparently there are 5 versions of the v4... 4.1,2,3&4 also the big fogger v4 for the 26650 mods. Apparently they had screw problems up until the fogger v4.4...

Alright, I'll give it a try. Time to go buy some rubber gloves haha.

Edit: Thanks for the pics! The post is extremely tiny, but I think I make it work.

I bought it online at eciggity. I just emailed them, hopefully they'll get back to me. I live in NYC, so there's no walmarts near me. Do you think ACE hardware would have some?
