Apple pie, cinnamon roll, blackberry jam, mint chocolate chip cookies are all my favorite flavors..

you might like cereal better, I think the 30's crowd is into breakfast cereal... Products

lol.. pretty much if you like it you can vape it.. saves a few pounds too.. just vape cake! lol

I love flavors... SO much better than cigarette flavor... I found it very helpful in breaking the tie with cigarettes, because Apple pie anytime night or day is just nice.. and a couple weeks of that and the cigarette tastes truly disgusting.

I smoked for 32 years and have been cigarette free for 5 years now..

it's worth a solid effort, if you want to quit smoking.. :)
Awesome. Its always good to hear about quitting stories.
I'm sure itll take a minute to figure out my favorite but well see.
Not in my 30s yet, lol. I'm leaning more fruit route.

fruit is a nice safe choice, almost can't mess that one up, and it really shines in MTL devices..

which mod did you buy? I think I missed what you actually bought due to some major skimming at one point on my part..

I went with the Smok G-Priv 2.
I tried a friends, she had the Smok G-Priv, and she loves it and I liked it, I had tried a cigalik a long time ago and hated it.

No matter what you buy, no matter what make it is, you need a backup. It's too easy to relapse if your only vape gives out. Most of us here have backups for our backups' backups. At least.

It's OK. You'll get shinyitis anyway, and then the issue will be moot.

All the stories and AA style I've been cigerettes free for x years is a great boost. It brings alot of comfort I'm the decision to switch.
OK, then here's another one for you:

I smoked for 36 years. I tried every method of quitting known, except for the prescription drugs that make some people quit by killing themselves. One time a few day into cold-turkey, my wife (a never smoker!) told me: "If you wanna stay married, you need to start smoking again!". After that, I pretty much gave up on the idea of ever quitting and figured I'd die with a lit cigarette in my hand.

Then in late 2013, I came across a number or articles in the media lamenting the fact that the FDA wasn't doing its job because they hadn't even proposed regulations for electronic cigarettes yet. This made me wonder if there was something to them. So I did some cursory research and ordered a starter kit. I did not intend to quit smoking, I was just curious if it could help me cut back on my two-pack-a-day habit some.

Well, cut back I did, right down to zero in less than a week, and the support I got here on ECF helped a lot.

That said, everyone is different. People's experience with vaping ranges from quitting cigs instantly, the first time they hit a vape, all the way to vaping not working for them at all. Most fall somewhere in between; they both vape and continue to smoke (albeit less than they used to) for some period of time.

Don't kick yourself if you have a cig or two here or there. Don't even count the number of cigs you smoke. Count the ones you don't smoke. Every one of those is a win.

I've been off cigs for over a month (well, almost... occasional slip, but then realize I like to vape better)
I really like B2L's advice list... short and to the point! Also, check out Brother Bob's links... helped me learn so much.
Mornings are the hardest, and stress will make you cave in to the nasty cigs. Like someone here told me "if you have to, vape like hell" to get over it. I started with 18mg nicotine... down to 12mg now. Keep the battery charged and get a back-up. Learn about vape juices (e-liquids) and learn the lingo... it can be very confusing. Peace, vape out.

Luckily in a dire pinch I have a nice smoke shop 20 min away.

That is amazing.
I got mine set up when I got home and haven't had one, minut victory, but a victory non the less.
Tomorrow will be the true test. I think if I have a bad urge it will be morning with coffee. Along with everyday after that.
Luckily I have someone in on this journey with me

I drive my better half just about nuts with the amount of research I do on a subject when I get commited.
For many things he calls me PhD.
We can kick this.

I tried WTA to make up the calm and found that it was too reminiscent of smoking for me so I toughed it out.

Everybody's different, of course...but for me...

I Really ENJOYED "the calm" with smoking for 50+ years...

For the past 5+ years...I've Really ENJOYED "the calm" with vaping WTA...

(But of course...now...I'm no longed exposed to the other 4000+ chemicals in tobacco... )

So far no headaches like I've gotten from trying to quit in the past.
Few cravings, and they're not nearly as bad as with the gum/patch/cold Turkey.

Thank you.
Following rules was just a silly intro.
Just joined, completely new to vaping, trying to quit cigerettes and was curious on the success of switching to vape.

I see by your opening post you are a woman of few words that makes a strong point. I like that. With a name like Brittney Mercedes, I don't know if I should reply to your thread or ask for your autograph.. I'm sure you have a record deal floating around someplace.. just kidding ya.

The facts are switching to e-cigs have the highest success rate of any other quit smoking aids.. if you use them and don't allow yourself to fall back into smoking which is mostly the problem. It's not the e-cig that failed, it's you. None of us likes to admit that.

The hardest thing you have to learn is to replace your triggers that make you wanna reach for a tobacco cigarette with the more healthy e-cig. The only way I found to do this is to be proactive and make sure you use the e-cig when a trigger hits. After a while your brain will rewire itself and you will find the urge to use a tobacco cigarette is gone. After you re comfortable with that it's simply a matter of lessening your nicotine if getting off nicotine completely is your goal or if you want to keep vaping for the enjoyment of it.

I wish you all the best success in your journey. Welcome to the forum!

Lol. No record deal. The only why that would happen is if it were for the deaf.
So far it has helped more than any other I've tried, yes I still want a cancer stick from time to time but not with the urgency i have in the past. And like i said a few posts back, no head aches which is a huge bonus.
I am great at admitting when I screw up and I know when I've failed in the past and I know I failed when I picked up my first cancer stick and struck the match.
I started with 6 mg nicotine, and that seems to be all I really need to curve the headaches. Oddly enough I've had fewer headaches since I've started this journey than I have in the past few months.
Thank you. I see this going better than expected.
