Food Safe Delrin?

Just wondering:

are the top and bottom caps of the J tanks made of Delrin? and is it food safe Delrin?

I know the fuel tank is made of Delrin, but is it food safe grade?



I've read there is a big difference between Delrin, Food Safe Delrin, and the generic acetyl when it comes to using Delrin for acidic foods. (there are different grades of acetyl, some approved for food use, some aren't and might be "dangerous")

That's one question I've never been asked before, lol. I can tell you for sure all the delrin we use for the sleeves is generally used for medical supplies, but I don't have a definite answer for you. I'll get with the machinist & have an answer for you on Monday.

Sorry for taking so long to respond. I've confirmed that all the delrin we use is, in fact, medical grade and food safe.

good to know!
you guys should probably advertise that. (it can only help sales, I would think) I guess it might not matter since not many people seem interested in this type of "product safety" when it comes to chemical resistance/toxins etc.
